10 Then the brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away during the night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Beroea: who when they were come thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
10 Yet truly, the brothers promptly sent Paul and Silas away by night to Beroea. And when they had arrived, they entered the synagogue of the Jews.
11 And these were more noble-minded than[ ]those in Thessalonica, who received the word with all readiness, each day examining the Scriptures [to see ]whether these things might be so.
11 For the Jews there were more liberal than the Jews who were in Thes-sa-lo-niÆca, in that they gladly heard the word daily, and searched the scriptures to find out if these things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed, and not a few of the prominent Greek women and men.
12 And indeed, many believed among them, as well as not a few among the honorable Gentile men and women.
13 But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was proclaimed by Paul in Berea, they came there also, agitating the crowds.
13 But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was proclaimed of Paul at Beroea also, they came thither likewise, stirring up and troubling the multitudes.
13 Then, when the Jews of Thessalonica had realized that the Word of God was also preached by Paul at Beroea, they went there also, stirring up and disturbing the multitude.
14 Then immediately the brothers sent Paul away, to go toward the sea; but both Silas and Timothy remained there.
14 And then immediately the brethren sent forth Paul to go as far as to the sea: and Silas and Timothy abode there still.
15 And those conducting Paul brought him to Athens; and receiving a command for Silas and Timothy, that as quickly as possible they should come to him, they departed.
15 And those who escorted Paul went with him as far as the city of Athens: and when they were leaving him, they received from him an epistle to Silas and Ti-moÆthe-us requesting them to come to him in haste.
