1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles-
1 By reason of this grace, I, Paul, am a prisoner of Jesus Christ, for the sake of you Gentiles.
2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you,
2 Now certainly, you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God, which has been given to me among you
3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery, just as I wrote before briefly,
3 that, by means of revelation, the mystery was made known to me, just as I have written above in a few words.
3 For the mystery was made known to me by a revelation; as I have briefly written you before,
4 with reference to which, when you read, you can understand my insight in the mystery of Christ,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets
5 In other generations, this was unknown to the sons of men, even as it has now been revealed to his holy Apostles and Prophets in the Spirit,
6 that the Gentiles should be joint-heirs, and of the same body, and joint-partakers in His promise in Christ by the gospel,
6 [to wit], that the Gentiles are fellow-heirs, and fellow-members of the body, and fellow-partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,
6 so that the Gentiles would be co-heirs, and of the same body, and partners together, by his promise in Christ Jesus, through the Gospel.
7 of which I became a minister according to the free gift of the grace of God which was given to me according to the working of His power.
7 Of this Gospel, I have been made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God, which has been given to me by means of the operation of his virtue.
7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
8 To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
8 Although I am the least of all the saints, I have been given this grace: to evangelize among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
8 Even to me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ
9 and to enlighten all [as to] what is the administration of the mystery, which had been hidden from the ages in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ;
9 and to enlighten everyone concerning the dispensation of the mystery, hidden before the ages in God who created all things,
10 that the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavenlies,
10 to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly [places] might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,
10 so that the manifold wisdom of God may become well-known to the principalities and powers in the heavens, through the Church,
11 according to the eternal purpose which He made in Christ Jesus our Lord,
11 Which is the wisdom he prepared in ages past, and has carried out in Jesus Christ our LORD
12 in whom we have the boldness and the access with confidence through faith in Him.
12 In him we trust, and so we approach with confidence, through his faith.
13 Therefore I beseech [you] not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, which is your glory.
13 Wherefore I ask that ye may not faint at my tribulations for you, which are your glory.
13 Because of this, I ask you not to be weakened by my tribulations on your behalf; for this is your glory.
