Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible for offenses not to come, but woe [to the one] through whom they do come!

And he said unto his disciples, It is impossible but that occasions of stumbling should come; but woe unto him, through whom they come!

It would be better for him if a millstone were around his neck, and he be cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

It were well for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

It were better for him that an assÆ millstone were hanged on his neck, and he thrown into the sea, than cause one of these little ones to stumble.

Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

Be attentive to yourselves. If your brother has sinned against you, correct him. And if he has repented, forgive him.
