46 "But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do [the ]things which I say?
46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
46 Why do you call me, My Lord, my Lord, and do not do what I say?
47 Everyone who comes to Me, and hears My words and does them, I will show you to whom he is like
47 Every one that cometh unto me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like
47 Anyone who comes to me, and listens to my words, and does them: I will reveal to you what he is like.
48 He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep and laid a foundation on the rock. And when a flood occurred, the stream burst upon that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.
49 But he who hears and does not do is like a man building a house on the ground without a foundation, [against] which the stream burst upon; and immediately it fell. And the breaking of that house was great."
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream brake, and straightway it fell in; and the ruin of that house was great.
49 And he who hears and does not, is like a man who built his house on the earth without a foundation; and when the river beat against it, it fell immediately, and the fall of that house was great.
