Luke 7:1–10

Now when He finished all His sayings in the hearing of the people, He entered Capernaum.

And a certain centurion's servant, who was highly valued by him, was sick and about to die.

Now the servant of a certain centurion was dying, due to an illness. And he was very dear to him.

And when he heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, asking Him that He might come and heal his servant.

And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying he was worthy for whom He should grant this,

And when they had come to Jesus, they petitioned him anxiously, saying to him: “He is worthy that you should provide this to him.

for he loves our nation, and he himself has built us a synagogue."

Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far away from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, "Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof.

And Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself; for I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof

Therefore I did not even consider myself worthy to come to You. But [just] say the word, and my servant shall be healed.

wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say the word, and my servant shall be healed.

That is why I was not worthy to come to you; but just say a word and my boy will be healed.

For I also am a man appointed under authority, having soldiers under myself. And I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does [it]."

For I am also a man in government service, and there are soldiers under my command; and I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.

When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turning to the crowd following Him, He said, "I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!"

And when Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned and said unto the multitude that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

And upon hearing this, Jesus was amazed. And turning to the multitude following him, he said, “Amen I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.”

10  And when those who were sent returned to the house, they found the servant well who had been sick.

10  And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole.

10  And those who had been sent, upon returning to the house, found that the servant, who had been sick, was now healthy.
