2 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up into a high mountain alone by themselves. And He was transfigured before them,
2 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them;
2 And six days after, Jesus took Peter, and James, and John, and brought them up to a high mountain alone; and he was transfigured before their eyes.
3 and His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth is able to whiten.
3 His clothes shone, and became white like snow, in such a manner that men on earth cannot make white.
4 And Elijah appeared to them together with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.
4 And there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.
5 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tents: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah"-
5 And Peter answereth and saith to Jesus, Rabbi, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
6 for he did not know what he should say, for they were terrified.
6 For he knew not what to answer; for they became sore afraid.
7 And a cloud appeared overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, [saying], "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!"
7 And there came a cloud overshadowing them: and there came a voice out of the cloud, This is my beloved Son: hear ye him.
7 And there was a cloud overshadowing them. And a voice came from the cloud, saying: “This is my most beloved Son. Listen to him.”
8 And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone, but only Jesus with themselves.
