1 Corinthians 10:0; 4:1–21

Let a man so consider us, as ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Accordingly, let man consider us to be ministers of Christ and attendants of the mysteries of God.

THIS is the way you should consider us: as the servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Now furthermore what is required among the stewards, is that one be found faithful.

Henceforth it is required of stewards, that every one of them must be faithful.

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

But to me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by a human court. Indeed, I do not even judge myself.

But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man`s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.

For I am conscious of nothing, but I have not been justified by this; but He who judges me is YHWH.

For I know nothing against myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

For I have nothing on my conscience. But I am not justified by this. For the Lord is the One who judges me.

So then judge nothing before the time, until YHWH comes, who also will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make clear the purposes of the hearts. Then each one's praise shall come from God.

Wherefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each man have his praise from God.

And so, do not choose to judge before the time, until the Lord returns. He will illuminate the hidden things of the darkness, and he will make manifest the decisions of hearts. And then each one shall have praise from God.

Now these things, brothers, I have figuratively applied to myself and Apollos for your sakes, in order that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.

And so, brothers, I have presented these things in myself and in Apollo, for your sakes, so that you may learn, through us, that no one should be inflated against one person and for another, not beyond what has been written.

These things, my brethren, concerning myself and Apollos I have pictured for your sakes; that in our example you may learn not to think beyond that which is written, and let no one exalt himself over his fellow man, on account of any man.

For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if you did indeed receive [what you have], why do you boast as though you did not receive it?

For who maketh thee to differ? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? but if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory as if thou hadst not received it?

For who has inquired into you? And what do you have which was not given to you? and if you did receive it, then why do you boast, as if you had not received it?

You are already full! You are already rich! You have reigned [as kings] without us; and I wish [that] indeed you did reign, in order that we also might reign with you!

So, now you have been filled, and now you have been made wealthy, as if to reign without us? But I wish that you would reign, so that we, too, might reign with you!

For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men appointed to death; for we became a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.

For, I think, God hath set forth us the apostles last of all, as men doomed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, both to angels and men.

10  We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are despised!

10  So we are fools because of Christ, but you are discerning in Christ? We are weak, but you are strong? You are noble, but we are ignoble?

11  Even unto this present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are naked, and beaten, and homeless.

11  Even to this very hour, we hunger and thirst, and we are naked and repeatedly beaten, and we are unsteady.

12  And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;

12  And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it

13  being defamed, we encourage; we have become as the sweepings of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.

13  We are cursed, and so we pray. We have become like the refuse of this world, like the reside of everything, even until now.

13  Being reviled, we intreat;: we are looked upon as the refuse of the world, and we are the revilement of every man to this day.

14  I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I admonish [you].

14  I am not writing these things in order to confound you, but in order to admonish you, as my dearest sons.

14  I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.

15  For though you might have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet [you do] not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

15  For you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, but not so many fathers. For in Christ Jesus, through the Gospel, I have begotten you.

16  Therefore I exhort you, be imitators of me.

16  I beseech you therefore, to follow me.

17  Because of this I sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in YHWH, who will remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.

17  For this cause have I sent unto you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who shall put you in remembrance of my ways which are in Christ, even as I teach everywhere in every church.

17  This is why I have sent Ti-moÆthe-us to you, who is my beloved son and faithful in the LORD, who shall remind you of my manner of life in Christ, just as I teach in all the churches.

18  Now some have become arrogant, as though I were not coming to you.

18  Certain persons have become inflated in thinking that I would not return to you.

18  There are some among you who are puffed up, thinking I am unwilling to come to you.

Byz Nes TR

19  But I will come to you quickly, if YHWH wills, and I will know, not the word of those who are arrogant, but the power.

19  But I will return to you soon, if the Lord is willing. And I will consider, not the words of those who are inflated, but the virtue.

21  What do you desire? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love, and a spirit of gentleness?

21  What would you prefer? Should I return to you with a rod, or with charity and a spirit of meekness?

21  Now what do you desire? Shall I come to you with a rod, or with love and in the spirit of meekness?
