And dining with them, he instructed them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but that they should wait for the Promise of the Father, “about which you have heard,” he said, “from my own mouth.

2:15  "For these are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is just the third hour of the day.

2:23  Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you took, and by lawless hands, nailing [Him] to a cross, you killed [Him];

23  This man, under the definitive plan and foreknowledge of God, was delivered by the hands of the unjust, afflicted, and put to death.

23  The very one who was chosen for this purpose from the very beginning of knowledge and will of God, you have delivered into the hands of wicked men, and you have crucified and murdered him

2:30  "Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to seat [Him ]on his throne,

2:44  Now all who believed were together, and they had all things in common,

3:1  Now Peter and John were going up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, [which was ]the ninth [hour].

3:2  And a man lame from his mother's womb was being carried, whom they would lay each day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;

And a certain man, who was lame from his mother’s womb, was being carried in. They would lay him every day at the gate of the temple, which is called the Beautiful, so that he might request alms from those entering into the temple.

Behold a certain man, lame from his motherÆs womb, was carried by men who were accustomed to bring him and lay him at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful so that he might ask alms from those who entered into the temple.

3:3  who, when he saw Peter and John about to enter into the temple, began asking for alms.

And this man, when he had seen Peter and John beginning to enter the temple, was begging, so that he might receive alms.

And when he saw Simon Peter and John entering the temple, he begged of them to give him alms.

3:4  And looking intently on him, Peter together with John, said "Look at us."

Then Peter and John, gazing at him, said, “Look at us.”

3:5  And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them.

And he looked intently at them, hoping that he might receive something from them.

And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

3:6  But Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but [that ]which I do have, I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk."

Then Simon Peter said to him, Gold and silver have I none; but what I have I give to you: In the name of our LORD Jesus Christ of NazÆa-reth rise up and walk.

3:7  And taking hold of him by his right hand, he raised [him]; and immediately his feet and ankles were strengthened.

And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up; and in that very hour his legs and his feet received strength.

3:10  Then they recognized that this was the one sitting for the alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with astonishment and amazement because of that which had happened to him.

10  and they took knowledge of him, that it was he that sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

10  And they recognized that he was the beggar who had sat daily and asked alms at the gate which is called Beautiful; and they were filled with amazement and wonder at what had happened.

3:11  And while the lame man who had been healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, utterly astonished.

3:12  So when Peter saw [this], he replied to the people: "Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?

12  And when Simon Peter saw it, he said to them, Men of Israel, why are you wondering at this man or why are you looking at us as though by our own power or authority we had made this man to walk?

3:13  The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you indeed delivered up and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.

3:14  But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked that a murderer be released to you,

14  Then you denied the Holy and Just One, and petitioned for a murderous man to be given to you.

3:15  and killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

15  Truly, it was the Author of Life whom you put to death, whom God raised from the dead, to whom we are witnesses.

3:16  And on the basis of faith in His name, this [one ]whom you observe and know, was made strong by His name. And the faith, which is by Him, has given to him this wholeness before you all.

16  And by faith in his name hath his name made this man strong, whom ye behold and know: yea, the faith which is through him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

16  Faith in his name has healed this man whom you see and know and made him strong; it is the faith in him which has granted this healing before you all.

3:17  And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as your rulers did also.

17  But now, my brethren, I know that you did this through ignorance just as your leaders did it.

3:18  But those things which God announced beforehand by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.
