If a man steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it, he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.

“If anyone will have stolen an ox or a sheep, and if he kills it or sells it, then he will restore five oxen for one ox, and four sheep for one sheep.

If a thief be found breaking in, and be smitten so that he dieth, there shall be no bloodguiltiness for him.

And if the thief be found in the breach made by himself and be smitten and die, there shall not be blood shed for him.

If a thief will have been discovered breaking into a house, or digging under it, and he has received a mortal wound, he who struck him down will not be guilty of blood.

If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be bloodguiltiness for him--he shall make restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

But if the sun be risen upon him, he is guilty, he shall die instead; and if a thief have nothing, let him be sold in compensation for what he has stolen.

But if he did this when the sun was risen, he has perpetrated a homicide, and he shall die. If he does not have the means to make restitution for the theft, he shall be sold.

If the theft be found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep, he shall pay double.

If whatever he stole should be found with him, a living thing, either an ox, or a donkey, or a sheep, he shall repay double.

If the animal is found in his possession alive, whether it is an ox or an ass, or a ewe, he shall restore double.

If a man cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall let his beast loose, and it feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.

And if any one should feed down a field or a vineyard, and should send in his beast to feed down another field, he shall make compensation of his own field according to his produce; and if he shall have fed down the whole field, he shall pay for compensation the best of his own field and the best of his vineyard.

If there is any damage to a field or a vineyard, when he has released his cattle to pasture on the land of a stranger, he shall repay the best of what he has in his own field, or in his own vineyard, according to the estimation of the damage.

If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the shocks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field are consumed; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.

And if fire have gone forth and caught thorns, and should also set on fire threshing-floors or ears of corn or a field, he that kindled the fire shall make compensation.

If a fire will have been discovered departing from brush, and taking hold in stacks of grain, or in crops standing in the fields, whoever ignited the fire shall repay the damages.

If a man deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, he shall pay double.

And if any one give to his neighbour money or goods to keep, and they be stolen out of the man’s house, if the thief be found he shall repay double.

If anyone will have entrusted money, or a container, to his friend to keep, and if these have been stolen from the one who received them: if the thief is found, he shall repay double.

But if the thief be not found, the master of the house shall come forward before God, and shall swear that surely he has not wrought wickedly in regard of any part of his neighbour’s deposit,

For every matter of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, whereof one saith: 'This is it,' the cause of both parties shall come before God; he whom God shall condemn shall pay double unto his neighbour.

according to every injury alleged, both concerning a calf, and an ass, and a sheep, and a garment, and every alleged loss, whatsoever in fact it may be, —the judgement of both shall proceed before God, and he that is convicted by God shall repay to his neighbour double.

11  the oath of YHWH shall be between them both, to see whether he have not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods; and the owner thereof shall accept it, and he shall not make restitution.

11  an oath of God shall be between both, each swearing that he has surely not at all been guilty in the matter of his neighbour’s deposit; and so his master shall hold him guiltless, and he shall not make compensation.

11  then there shall be an oath between them, that he did not lay his hand on the goods of his neighbor. And the owner shall accept the oath, and he will not be compelled to make restitution.

12  But if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof.

13  If it be torn in pieces, let him bring it for witness; he shall not make good that which was torn.

13  And if it be seized of beasts, he shall bring him to witness the prey, and he shall not make compensation.

13  If it has been eaten by a wild beast, let him carry what was killed to him, and then he shall not make restitution.

14  And if a man borrow aught of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.

14  And if any one borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be wounded or die or be carried away, and the owner of it be not with it, he shall make compensation.

14  If anyone borrows from his neighbor any of these things, and it has died or been disabled when the owner was not present, he shall be compelled to make restitution.

15  But if the owner be with it, he shall not make compensation: but if it be a hired thing, there shall be a compensation to him instead of his hire.

16  And if a man entice a virgin that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.

16  If a man has led astray a virgin not yet betrothed, and he has slept with her, he shall pay her dowry and have her as a wife.

17  If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

17  And if her father positively refuse, and will not consent to give her to him for a wife, he shall pay compensation to her father according to the amount of the dowry of virgins.

17  If the father of the virgin is not willing to give her, he shall pay money according to manner of a dowry, which virgins are accustomed to receive.

20  Whoever immolates to gods, other than to the Lord, shall be killed.

21  And a stranger shalt thou not wrong, neither shalt thou oppress him; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

21  You shall not harass the newcomer, nor shall you afflict him. For you yourselves were once newcomers in the land of Egypt.

24  And my fury will be enraged, and I will strike you down with the sword. And your wives will become widows, and your sons will become orphans.

25  If thou lend money to any of My people, even to the poor with thee, thou shalt not be to him as a creditor; neither shall ye lay upon him interest.

25  And if thou shouldest lend money to thy poor brother who is by thee, thou shalt not be hard upon him thou shalt not exact usury of him.

25  If you lend money to the poor of my people who live among you, you shall not coerce them like a collector, nor oppress them with usury.

26  If thou at all take thy neighbour's garment to pledge, thou shalt restore it unto him by that the sun goeth down;

26  If you at all take your neighbor's clothes as a pledge, you must give them back to him by sunset;

27  for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin; wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto Me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.

27  For it is all that he has to cover himself, to clothe his body; nor does he have anything else in which to sleep. If he cries out to me, I will hear him, because I am compassionate.

27  For they are his only covering, it is his raiment for his body; with what shall he sleep? And if he prays before me, I will hear him; for I am compassionate.

28  Thou shalt not revile God, nor curse a ruler of thy people.

28  You shall not disparage the heavens, and you shall not speak evil of the leader of your people.

28  You shall not revile the judge nor curse the ruler of your people.

29  Thou shalt not delay to offer of the fulness of thy harvest, and of the outflow of thy presses. The first-born of thy sons shalt thou give unto Me.

29  You shall not delay in paying your tithes and your first-fruits. You shall give the firstborn of your sons to me.

30  Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep; seven days it shall be with its dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it Me.

30  You shall do likewise with those of the oxen and the sheep. For seven days, let it be with its mother; on the eighth day you shall repay it to me.

31  And ye shall be holy men unto Me; therefore ye shall not eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.

31  You shall be holy men for me. The flesh, from which beasts will have tasted, you shall not eat, but you will throw it to the dogs.”

23:1  Thou shalt not utter a false report; put not thy hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

“You shall not accept a lying voice. Neither shall you join your hand so as to give false testimony on behalf on the impious.

YOU shall not confirm a false report: do not stretch out your hand taking oaths with the guilty to become a false witness for him.

23:2  Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou bear witness in a cause to turn aside after a multitude to pervert justice;

You shall not follow the crowd in doing evil. Neither shall you go astray in judgment, by agreeing with the majority opinion, apart from the truth.

23:3  neither shalt thou favour a poor man in his cause.

And thou shalt not spare a poor man in judgement.

Likewise, you shall not show pity in judgment of the poor.

23:4  If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

And if thou meet thine enemy’s ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt turn them back and restore them to him.

If you come across an ox or a donkey of your enemy, which has gone astray, lead it back to him.

23:5  If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under its burden, thou shalt forbear to pass by him; thou shalt surely release it with him.

If you should see the ass of your enemy lying under its burden, and you are unwilling to help him lift it up, you should surely help him to lift it up nevertheless.

23:6  Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

You shall not deviate in judgment of the poor.

23:7  Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not; for I will not justify the wicked.

Thou shalt abstain from every unjust thing: thou shalt not slay the innocent and just, and thou shalt not justify the wicked for gifts.

You shall flee from lies. The innocent and the just you shall not kill. For I shun the impious.

23:8  And thou shalt take no gift; for a gift blindeth them that have sight, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

Neither shall you accept bribes, which blind even the prudent and subvert the words of the just.

And you shall take no bribe; for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise in judgment and perverts the words of the righteous.

23:9  And a stranger shalt thou not oppress; for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

You shall not harass a sojourner, for you know the life of a newcomer. For you yourselves also were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

23:10  And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and gather in the increase thereof;

23:11  but the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of thy people may eat; and what they leave the beast of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.

11  But in the seventh year, you shall release it and cause it to rest, so that the poor of your people may eat. And whatever remains, let the beasts of the field eat it. So shall you do with your vineyard and your olive grove.

23:12  Six days thou shalt do thy work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest; that thine ox and thine ass may have rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

12  For six days, you shall work. On the seventh day, you shall cease, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the newcomer and the son of your handmaid may be refreshed.

12  Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your ass may rest and the son of your handmaid; and that the stranger in your towns may be refreshed.

23:13  And in all things that I have said unto you take ye heed; and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

13  Observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and ye shall make no mention of the name of other gods, neither shall they be heard out of your mouth.

13  Take heed of all things that I have said to you; and make no mention of the name of false idols, neither think of them.

23:15  The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep; seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, at the time appointed in the month Abib--for in it thou camest out from Egypt; and none shall appear before Me empty;

15  You shall keep the festival of the unleavened bread (you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days, as I commanded you, at the time appointed of the month of Abib; for in the month of Abib you came out of the land of Egypt; you shall not appear before me without a gift offering:)

23:16  and the feast of harvest, the first-fruits of thy labours, which thou sowest in the field; and the feast of ingathering, at the end of the year, when thou gatherest in thy labours out of the field.

16  for it is the solemnity of the harvest of the first-fruits of your work, of whatever you have sown in the field. Likewise, it is a solemnity at the end of the season, when you will have gathered in all your crops from the field.

23:17  Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before YHWH GOD.

23:18  Thou shalt not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of My feast remain all night until the morning.

18  For when I shall have cast out the nations from before thee, and shall have widened thy borders, thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven, neither must the fat of my feast abide till the morning.

18  You shall not immolate the blood of my victim over leaven, nor shall the fat of my solemnity remain until morning.

23:19  The choicest first-fruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of YHWH thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in its mother's milk.

19  You shall carry the first grain of the land to the house of the Lord your God. You shall not cook a young goat in the milk of its mother.

23:20  Behold, I send an angel before thee, to keep thee by the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

20  And, behold, I send my angel before thy face, that he may keep thee in the way, that he may bring thee into the land which I have prepared for thee.

20  Behold, I will send my Angel, who will go before you, and preserve you on your journey, and lead you into the place that I have prepared.

23:21  Take heed of him, and hearken unto his voice; be not rebellious against him; for he will not pardon your transgression; for My name is in him.

23:22  But if thou shalt indeed hearken unto his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

22  If ye will indeed hear my voice, and if thou wilt do all the things I shall charge thee with, and keep my covenant, ye shall be to me a peculiar people above all nations, for the whole earth is mine; and ye shall be to me a royal priesthood, and a holy nation: these words shall ye speak to the children of Israel, If ye shall indeed hear my voice, and do all the things I shall tell thee, I will be an enemy to thine enemies, and an adversary to thine adversaries.

22  But if you listen to his voice and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will afflict those who afflict you.

23:23  For Mine angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I will cut them off.

23  For my angel shall go as thy leader, and shall bring thee to the Amorite, and Chettite, and Pherezite, and Chananite, and Gergesite, and Evite, and Jebusite, and I will destroy them.

23  And my Angel will go before you, and he will bring you to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, whom I will crush.

23:24  Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their doings; but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and break in pieces their pillars.

24  You shall not adore their gods, nor worship them. You shall not do their works, but you shall destroy them and break apart their statues.

23:25  And ye shall serve YHWH your God, and He will bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

25  And thou shalt serve the Lord thy God, and I will bless thy bread and thy wine and thy water, and I will turn away sickness from you.

25  And you shall serve the Lord your God, so that I may bless your bread and your waters, and so that I may take away sickness from your midst.

23:26  None shall miscarry, nor be barren, in thy land; the number of thy days I will fulfil.

23:27  I will send My terror before thee, and will discomfit all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

27  I will send my fear before you and will destroy all the peoples against whom you shall go to war, and I will make all your enemies flee from you.

23:29  I will not drive them out from before thee in one year, lest the land become desolate, and the beasts of the field multiply against thee.

29  I will not cast them out from your face in one year, lest the land be reduced to a wilderness and the wild beasts increase against you.

23:30  By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

30  I will expel them little by little from your sight, until you have expanded and may possess the land.

30  Little by little I will destroy them before you, till you become strong and inherit the land.

23:31  And I will set thy border from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness unto the River; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

31  Then I will set your limits to be from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Palestinians, and from the desert all the way to the river. I will deliver into your hands the inhabitants of the land, and I will cast them out from your sight.

23:32  Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

32  You shall not enter into a pact with them, nor with their gods.

23:33  They shall not dwell in thy land--lest they make thee sin against Me, for thou wilt serve their gods--for they will be a snare unto thee.

33  And they shall not dwell in thy land, lest they cause thee to sin against me; for if thou shouldest serve their gods, these will be an offence to thee.

33  They may not live on your land, lest perhaps they may cause you to sin against me, if you serve their gods, which certainly would be a temptation for you.”

24:1  And unto Moses He said: 'Come up unto YHWH, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off;

And to Moses he said, Go up to the Lord, thou and Aaron and Nadab and Abiud, and seventy of the elders of Israel: and they shall worship the Lord from a distance.

He also said to Moses: “Ascend to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy elders out of Israel, and adore from a distance.

24:2  and Moses alone shall come near unto YHWH; but they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him.'

And only Moses will ascend to the Lord, and these shall not approach. Neither shall the people ascend with him.”

24:3  And Moses came and told the people all the words of YHWH, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said: 'All the words which YHWH hath spoken will we do.'

And Moses went in and related to the people all the words of God and the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, saying, All the words which the Lord has spoken, we will do and be obedient.

Therefore, Moses went and explained to the people all the words of the Lord, as well as the judgments. And all the people responded with one voice: “We will do all the words of the Lord, which he has spoken.”

24:4  And Moses wrote all the words of YHWH, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the mount, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

Then Moses wrote all the words of the Lord. And rising up in the morning, he built an altar at the base of the mountain, with twelve titles according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

24:5  And he sent the young men of the children of Israel, who offered burnt-offerings, and sacrificed peace-offerings of oxen unto YHWH.

And he sent forth the young men of the children of Israel, and they offered whole burnt-offerings, and they sacrificed young calves as a peace-offering to God.

And he sent youths from the sons of Israel, and they offered holocausts, and they immolated calves as peace-offerings to the Lord.

24:6  And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basins; and half of the blood he dashed against the altar.

And so Moses took one half part of the blood, and he put it into bowls. Then the remaining part he poured over the altar.

24:7  And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the hearing of the people; and they said: 'All that YHWH hath spoken will we do, and obey.'

And taking up the book of the covenant, he read it in the hearing of the people, who said: “All that the Lord has spoken, we will do, and we will be obedient.”

24:8  And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said: 'Behold the blood of the covenant, which YHWH hath made with you in agreement with all these words.'

In truth, taking up the blood, he sprinkled it on the people, and he said, “This is the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has formed with you concerning all these words.”

24:9  Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel;

And Moses went up, and Aaron, and Nadab and Abiud, and seventy of the elders of Israel.

24:10  and they saw the God of Israel; and there was under His feet the like of a paved work of sapphire stone, and the like of the very heaven for clearness.

10  And they saw the place where the God of Israel stood; and under his feet was as it were a work of sapphire slabs, and as it were the appearance of the firmament of heaven in its purity.

24:11  And upon the nobles of the children of Israel He laid not His hand; and they beheld God, and did eat and drink.

11  And of the chosen ones of Israel there was not even one missing, and they appeared in the place of God, and did eat and drink.

11  Neither did he lay his hand upon those of the sons of Israel who were at a distance. And they saw God, and they ate and drank.

24:12  And YHWH said unto Moses: 'Come up to Me into the mount and be there; and I will give thee the tables of stone, and the law and the commandment, which I have written, that thou mayest teach them.'

12  And the Lord said to Moses, Come up to me into the mountain, and be there; and I will give thee the tables of stone, the law and the commandments, which I have written to give them laws.

Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon. And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the LORD.

30  Then you shall place in the breastplate of judgment, Doctrine and Truth, which shall then be upon Aaron’s chest, when he enters before the Lord. And he shall wear the judgment of the sons of Israel on his chest, in the sight of the Lord always.

33  And under the fringe of the robe below thou shalt make as it were pomegranates of a flowering pomegranate tree, of blue, and purple, and spun scarlet, and fine linen spun, under the fringe of the robe round about: golden pomegranates of the same shape, and bells round about between these.

33  Yet truly, beneath it, at the base of the same tunic, all around, you shall make something like pomegranates, from hyacinth, and purple, and twice-dyed scarlet, with little bells set in their midst.

28:34  a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the skirts of the robe round about.

34  A bell by the side of a golden pomegranate, and flower-work on the fringe of the robe round about.

35  And Aaron will be vested with it during the office of his ministry, so that the sound may be heard when he enters and exits the Sanctuary, in the sight of the Lord, and so that he may not die.

Aaron, certainly, as well as his sons. And you shall impose headdresses upon them. And they shall be priests to me by a perpetual ordinance. After you have initiated their hands,

And you shall gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them; and the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute; and thus you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.

29:10  And thou shalt bring the bullock before the tent of meeting; and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon the head of the bullock.

10  And thou shalt bring the calf to the door of the tabernacle of witness; and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the calf, before the Lord, by the doors of the tabernacle of witness.

10  you shall bring forward also the calf, in the presence of the tabernacle of the testimony. And Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon its head.

29:11  And thou shalt kill the bullock before YHWH, at the door of the tent of meeting.

11  And you shall sacrifice it in the sight of the Lord, beside the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

29:12  And thou shalt take of the blood of the bullock, and put it upon the horns of the altar with thy finger; and thou shalt pour out all the remaining blood at the base of the altar.

12  And taking some of the blood of the calf, you shall place it upon the horns of the altar with your finger, but the remainder of the blood you shall pour next to its base.

29:13  And thou shalt take all the fat that covereth the inwards, and the lobe above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and make them smoke upon the altar.

13  And you shall take all the fat which covers its intestines, and the mesh of the liver, as well as the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, and you shall offer them as a burnt offering upon the altar.

29:14  But the flesh of the bullock, and its skin, and its dung, shalt thou burn with fire without the camp; it is a sin-offering.

14  Yet truly, the flesh of the calf, and the hide and the dung, you shall burn outside, beyond the camp, because it is for sin.

29:15  Thou shalt also take the one ram; and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands upon the head of the ram.

15  Likewise, you shall take one ram, and upon its head Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands.

29:16  And thou shalt slay the ram, and thou shalt take its blood, and dash it round about against the altar.

16  And when you will have sacrificed it, you shall take from its blood and pour it around the altar.

16  And you shall slaughter the ram; and you must take some of its blood and sprinkle it round about upon the altar.

29:17  And thou shalt cut the ram into its pieces, and wash its inwards, and its legs, and put them with its pieces, and with its head.

17  And thou shalt divide the ram by his several limbs, and thou shalt wash the inward parts and the feet with water, and thou shalt put them on the divided parts with the head.

17  Then you shall cut the ram into pieces, and, having washed its intestines and feet, you shall place these upon the cut-up flesh and upon its head.

29:18  And thou shalt make the whole ram smoke upon the altar; it is a burnt-offering unto YHWH; it is a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the YHWH.

18  And thou shalt offer the whole ram on the altar, a whole burnt-offering to the Lord for a sweet-smelling savour: it is an offering of incense to the Lord.

18  And you shall offer the entire ram as a burnt offering upon the altar. It is an oblation to the Lord, a most sweet odor of the victim of the Lord.

20  And thou shalt kill it, and take of the blood of it, and put it on the tip of Aaron’s right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, and on the tips of the right ears of his sons, and on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the great toes of their right feet.

20  And when you will have immolated it, you shall take of its blood, and place it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and his sons, and on the thumbs and big toes of their right hand and right foot, and you shall pour the blood upon the altar, all around.

29:21  And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him; and he and his garments shall be hallowed, and his sons and his sons' garments with him.

21  And when you have taken from the blood that is on the altar, and from the oil of unction, you shall sprinkle Aaron and his vestment, his sons and their vestments. And after they and their vestments have been consecrated,

21  And you shall take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron and upon his vestments and upon his sons and upon the vestments of his sons with him; and he shall be consecrated and his vestments and his sons and his sons' vestments with him.

24  And you shall place all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and you shall sanctify them, lifting them up in the sight of the Lord.

25  And you shall take all these things from their hands and burn them upon the altar as a holocaust, as a most sweet odor in the sight of the Lord, because it is his oblation.

25  And you shall receive them from their hands, and burn the breast of the ram upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour before the LORD; it is an offering made by fire to the LORD.

29:26  And thou shalt take the breast of Aaron's ram of consecration, and wave it for a wave-offering before YHWH; and it shall be thy portion.

26  Likewise, you shall take the chest of the ram, with which Aaron was initiated, and you shall sanctify it, lifting it up in the sight of the Lord, and it will fall to your share.

29:27  And thou shalt sanctify the breast of the wave-offering, and the thigh of the heave-offering, which is waved, and which is heaved up, of the ram of consecration, even of that which is Aaron's, and of that which is his sons'.

27  And you shall sanctify both the consecrated chest and the shoulder that you separated from the ram,

29:28  And it shall be for Aaron and his sons as a due for ever from the children of Israel; for it is a heave-offering; and it shall be a heave-offering from the children of Israel of their sacrifices of peace-offerings, even their heave-offering unto YHWH.

28  with which Aaron was initiated with his sons, and these will fall to the share of Aaron and his sons, as a perpetual oath by the sons of Israel. For these are the greatest and the first of their victims of peace, which they offer to the Lord.

28  And it shall be Aaron's and his sons' by a statute for ever from the children of Israel: for it is an heave offering: and it shall be an heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their heave offering unto the LORD. And take from the anointing oil and from blood that is over the altar, and you smear it over Aaron and over garments of him and over sons of him and over garments of sons of him. And you will purify the him, the garments of him, and the sons of him and the garments of his sons.

29:29  And the holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, to be anointed in them, and to be consecrated in them.

29  And the apparel of the sanctuary which is Aaron’s shall be his son’s after him, for them to be anointed in them, and to fill their hands.

29  But the holy vestment, which Aaron shall use, his sons shall possess after him, so that they may be anointed in it and their hands may be consecrated.

29:30  Seven days shall the son that is priest in his stead put them on, even he who cometh into the tent of meeting to minister in the holy place.

30  The priest his successor from among his sons who shall go into the tabernacle of witness to minister in the holies, shall put them on seven days.

30  And one of his sons who is to become priest in his stead shall put them on seven days, when he enters into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the holy place.

29:33  And they shall eat those things wherewith atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them; but a stranger shall not eat thereof, because they are holy.

33  They shall eat the offerings with which they were sanctified to fill their hands, to sanctify them; and a stranger shall not eat of them, for they are holy.

33  so that it may be an appeasing sacrifice, and so that the hands of those who offer may be sanctified. A stranger shall not eat from these, for they are holy.

29:34  And if aught of the flesh of the consecration, or of the bread, remain unto the morning, then thou shalt burn the remainder with fire; it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.

34  And what may remain until morning, of the consecrated flesh or of the bread, you shall burn these remnants with fire. These shall not be eaten, because they have been sanctified.

29:41  And the other lamb thou shalt offer at dusk, and shalt do thereto according to the meal-offering of the morning, and according to the drink-offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto YHWH.

41  And thou shalt offer the second lamb in the evening, after the manner of the morning-offering, and according to the drink-offering of the morning lamb; thou shalt offer it an offering to the Lord for a sweet-smelling savour,

41  truly, the other lamb you shall offer in the evening, according to the ritual of the morning oblation, and according to what we have said, as an odor of sweetness.

29:42  It shall be a continual burnt-offering throughout your generations at the door of the tent of meeting before YHWH, where I will meet with you, to speak there unto thee.

42  It is a sacrifice to the Lord, by a perpetual oblation among your generations, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the Lord, where I resolve to speak to you.

29:44  And I will sanctify the tent of meeting, and the altar; Aaron also and his sons will I sanctify, to minister to Me in the priest's office.

44  I will also sanctify the tabernacle of the testimony with the altar, and Aaron with his sons, to exercise the priesthood for me.

29:45  And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.

45  And I will live in the midst of the sons of Israel, and I will be their God.
