1 YHWH called unto Moses, and spoke unto him out of the tent of meeting, saying
1 And the Lord called Moses again and spoke to him out of the tabernacle of witness, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them,
1 Then the Lord called Moses and spoke to him from the tabernacle of the testimony, saying
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: When any man of you bringeth an offering unto YHWH, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd or of the flock.
2 If any man of you shall bring gifts to the Lord, ye shall bring your gifts of the cattle and of the oxen and of the sheep.
2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: The man among you who will offer to the Lord a sacrifice from the cattle, that is, an offering of victims of oxen or sheep
3 If his offering be a burnt-offering of the herd, he shall offer it a male without blemish; he shall bring it to the door of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before YHWH.
3 If his gift be a whole-burnt-offering, he shall bring an unblemished male of the herd to the door of the tabernacle of witness, he shall bring it as acceptable before the Lord.
3 if his offering will be a holocaust, as well as from the herd, he shall offer an immaculate male at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, to make himself pleasing to the Lord.
4 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the burnt-offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
4 And he shall place his hand on the head of the sacrifice, and so it shall be acceptable and effective, in its expiation.
5 And he shall kill the bullock before YHWH; and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall present the blood, and dash the blood round about against the altar that is at the door of the tent of meeting.
5 And they shall slay the calf before the Lord; and the sons of Aaron the priests shall bring the blood, and they shall pour the blood round about on the altar, which is at the doors of the tabernacle of witness.
5 And he shall immolate the calf in the sight of the Lord. And the priests, the sons of Aaron, shall offer its blood, pouring it all around the altar, which is before the door of the tabernacle.
6 And he shall flay the burnt-offering, and cut it into its pieces.
6 And having flayed the whole burnt-offering, they shall divide it by its limbs.
6 And having pulled away the skin of the victim, they shall cut up the joints into pieces,
7 And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay wood in order upon the fire.
7 and they shall toss fire under the altar, having arranged beforehand a stack of wood.
8 And Aaron's sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces, and the head, and the suet, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar;
8 And the sons of Aaron the priests shall pile up the divided parts, and the head, and the fat on the wood on the fire, the wood which is on the altar.
8 And they shall lay the parts which are cut up in order upon it: namely, the head, and all the things that adjoin to the liver,
9 but its inwards and its legs shall he wash with water; and the priest shall make the whole smoke on the altar, for a burnt- offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto YHWH.
9 And the entrails and the feet they shall wash in water, and the priests shall put all on the altar: it is a burnt-offering, a sacrifice, a smell of sweet savour to the Lord.
9 the intestines and feet having been washed with water. And the priest shall burn them on the altar as a holocaust and as a sweet odor to the Lord.
10 And if his offering be of the flock, whether of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt-offering, he shall offer it a male without blemish.
10 But if the offering is from the flocks, a holocaust either of sheep or goats, he shall offer a male without blemish.
10 And if his burnt offering to the LORD be of the flocks, namely , of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male without blemish. To the entrance of the Tent of Appointment he shall bring it.
11 And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before YHWH; and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall dash its blood against the altar round about.
11 And he shall lay his hand on its head; and they shall kill it by the side of the altar, toward the north before the Lord, and the sons of Aaron the priests shall pour its blood on the altar round about.
11 And he shall immolate it at the side of the altar which looks out toward the north, in the sight of the Lord. Yet truly, the sons of Aaron shall pour its blood upon the altar all around.
12 And he shall cut it into its pieces; and the priest shall lay them, with its head and its suet, in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar.
12 And they shall divide it by its limbs, and its head and its fat, and the priests shall pile them up on the wood which is on the fire, on the altar.
13 But the inwards and the legs shall he wash with water; and the priest shall offer the whole, and make it smoke upon the altar; it is a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto YHWH.
14 And if his offering to YHWH be a burnt-offering of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtle-doves, or of young pigeons.
14 But if the oblation of a holocaust to the Lord is of birds, either of turtledoves, or young pigeons,
15 And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and pinch off its head, and make it smoke on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be drained out on the side of the altar.
15 the priest shall offer it at the altar: and twisting back the neck with the head, and also rupturing the place of the wound, he shall make the blood run down over the edge of the altar.
16 And he shall take away its crop with the feathers thereof, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, in the place of the ashes.
16 Yet truly, the craw of the throat and the feathers he shall cast near the altar at the eastern section, in the place where the ashes are usually poured out.
17 And he shall rend it by the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder; and the priest shall make it smoke upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire; it is a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto YHWH.
17 And he shall break it off from the wings and shall not separate it, and the priest shall put it on the altar on the wood which is on the fire: it is a burnt-offering, a sacrifice, a sweet-smelling savour to the Lord.
