1  Receive one that is weak in the faith, not for disputes over opinions.

1  But accept those who are weak in faith, without disputing about ideas.

1  He who is weak in the faith, assist him. And be consistent in your reasoning.

2  One indeed believes that he may eat all things, but another,[ ]being weak, eats [only ]vegetables.

2  One man hath faith to eat all things: but he that is weak eateth herbs.

2  For one person believes that he may eat all things, but if another is weak, let him eat plants.

3  Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God [has] received him.

3  Let not him that eateth set at nought him that eateth not; and let not him that eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

3  He who eats should not despise him who does not eat. And he who does not eat should not judge him who eats. For God has accepted him.

4  Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or he falls. And he shall be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.

4  Who art thou that judgest the servant of another? to his own lord he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be made to stand; for the Lord hath power to make him stand.

4  Who are you to judge another manÆs servant? for if he is a success, he is a success to his master; and if he is a failure, he is a failure to his master. As for his success, he will succeed for it is in the power of his master to make him succeed.

5  One indeed judges one day above another; but another judges every day [the same]. Let each be fully assured in his own mind.

5  One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day [alike]. Let each man be fully assured in his own mind.

5  For one person discerns one age from the next. But another discerns unto every age. Let each one increase according to his own mind.

6  He that regards the day, regards it to YHWH; and he that does not regard the day, to the Lord he does not regard it. And he that eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he that does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and he gives thanks to God.

6  He who understands the age, understands for the Lord. And he who eats, eats for the Lord; for he gives thanks to God. And he who does not eat, does not eat for the Lord, and he gives thanks to God.

6  He who is mindful concerning a dayÆs duty is considerate of his master; and every one who is not mindful concerning a dayÆs duty, is inconsiderate of his master. And he who is wasteful, is detrimental to his master even though he confesses it to God; and he who is not wasteful, is not wasteful to his master, yet he likewise tells it to God.

7  For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.

8  For whether we live, we live to YHWH; and whether we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live, or whether we die, we are the Lord's.

8  For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

9  For to this end Christ died and rose and lived [again], so that He might be Lord of both [the] dead and [the] living.

9  For Christ died and rose again for this purpose: that he might be the ruler of both the dead and the living.

10  But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

10  But thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? or thou again, why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment-seat of God.

11  For it is written: "As I live, says YHWH, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God."

12  So then each of us shall give account concerning himself to God.

12  And so, each one of us shall offer an explanation of himself to God.

13  Therefore let us no longer judge one another, but judge this rather, not to put a stumbling block or an offense before our brother.

13  Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge ye this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock in his brother`s way, or an occasion of falling.

13  Therefore, we should no longer judge one another. Instead, judge this to a greater extent: that you should not place an obstacle before your brother, nor lead him astray.

14  I know and am convinced in YHWH Jesus that nothing is unclean of itself; except to him considering anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

14  For I know, and I have confidence in the LORD Jesus, that nothing unclean comes from him: but to him who believes a thing to be unclean, to him only is it unclean.

14  I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

15  But if your brother is grieved on account of your food, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy with your food the one on behalf of whom Christ died.

15  For if because of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer in love. Destroy not with thy meat him for whom Christ died.

16  Therefore do not let your good be slandered.

16  Let not then your good be evil spoken of

17  For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

18  For he that serves Christ in these things is well pleasing to God and approved by men.

18  For he who serves Christ in this, pleases God and is proven before men.

19  Therefore let us pursue the things [which make] for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

19  And so, let us pursue the things that are of peace, and let us keep to the things that are for the edification of one another.

19  Now let us strive after peace, and help one another.

20  Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are clean, but [are] evil for the man eating with offense.

20  Overthrow not for meat`s sake the work of God. All things indeed are clean; howbeit it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

21  It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor [to do anything] by which your brother stumbles or is offended or becomes weak.

21  It is good to refrain from eating meat and from drinking wine, and from anything by which your brother is offended, or led astray, or weakened.

21  It is better that we neither eat meat nor drink wine nor do any other thing whereby we cause our brother to stumble.

22  Do you have faith? By yourself, have it before God. Blessed is he that does not condemn himself in what he approves.

22  The faith which thou hast, have thou to thyself before God. Happy is he that judgeth not himself in that which he approveth.

22  You who have a certain belief, keep it to yourself, before God. Blessed is he who does not condemn himself by doing those things which he believes to be wrong.

23  But he who doubts, if he eats, has been condemned, because [it is ]not of faith; and everything which [is] not of faith is sin.

23  But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because [he eateth] not of faith; and whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

23  For he who is doubtful and eats, violates his beliefs: for whatever is not of faith, is sin. The strong must help the weak.

15:1  We then who are strong are obligated to bear with the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

1  But we who are stronger must bear with the feebleness of the weak, and not so as to please ourselves.

15:2  Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.

2  Each one of you should please his neighbor unto good, for edification.

2  Let every one of us please his neighbor in good and constructive ways.

15:3  For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, "The reproaches of those reproaching You fell on Me."

3  For Christ also pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me.

15:4  For as many things as were previously written, were written for our own instruction, that through the patience and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we may have hope.

4  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

4  For whatever was written, was written to teach us, so that, through patience and the consolation of the Scriptures, we might have hope.

15:5  Now may the God of patience and of encouragement grant you to be like-minded among one another, according to Christ Jesus,

5  Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus

5  So may the God of patience and solace grant you to be of one mind toward one another, in accord with Jesus Christ,

15:6  so that you may with one accord and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

6  that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15:7  Therefore receive one another, just as also Christ received you, to [the] glory of God.

7  For this reason, accept one another, just as Christ also has accepted you, in the honor of God.

7  Therefore be close and bear one anotherÆs burdens, just as Christ also brought you close to the glory of God.

15:8  Now I say that Christ Jesus has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, in order to confirm the promises to the fathers,

8  For I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises [given] unto the fathers,

15:9  and that the Gentiles might glorify God on behalf of His mercy, as it is written: "For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, and I will sing praise to Your name."

15:10  And again he says: "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!"

15:11  And again: "Praise YHWH, all you Gentiles! Praise Him, all you peoples!"

11  And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; And let all the peoples praise him.

15:12  And again, Isaiah says: "There shall be the root of Jesse; and He that shall rise to rule over the Gentiles, in Him the Gentiles shall hope."

12  And again Isaiah said, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise will be a prince to the Gentiles; and in him shall the Gentiles trust.

15:13  Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

13  So may the God of hope fill you with every joy and with peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope and in the virtue of the Holy Spirit.

15:14  Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, having been filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.

14  But I am also certain about you, my brothers, that you also have been filled with love, completed with all knowledge, so that you are able to admonish one another.

14  And I myself am persuaded concerning you, my brethren, that you also are filled with the same goodness, and made perfect with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.

15:15  And I write more boldly to you brothers, in part, as reminding you, because of the grace having been given to me by God,

15  But I have written to you, brothers, more boldly than to the others, as if calling you to mind again, because of the grace which has been given to me from God,

15  Nevertheless, my brethren, I have written rather boldly to you, in order to remind you of the grace which is given to me by God,

15:16  that I should be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God as a priest, so that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

16  so that I may be a minister of Christ Jesus among the Gentiles, sanctifying the Gospel of God, in order that the oblation of the Gentiles may be made acceptable and may be sanctified in the Holy Spirit.

15:17  Therefore I have something to boast of in Christ Jesus in the things pertaining to God.

17  I am proud therefore to glory in Jesus Christ before God.

15:18  For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ did not work out through me, in word and deed, for the obedience of [the] Gentiles-

18  So I dare not speak of any of those things which Christ does not effect through me, unto the obedience of the Gentiles, in word and deed,

18  For I can scarcely speak of anything which Christ has not wrought by me for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

15:19  in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

19  in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ;

15:20  And so eagerly striving to evangelize not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon the foundation of another,

20  yea, making it my aim so to preach the gospel, not where Christ was [already] named, that I might not build upon another man`s foundation;

20  And I have strived to preach the gospel, not at any place where ChristÆs name had already been preached, because I did not want to build on anotherÆs foundation

15:21  but as it is written: "To whom He was not announced, they shall see; and those who have not heard shall understand."

21  but, as it is written, They shall see, to whom no tidings of him came, And they who have not heard shall understand.

21  But as it is written, Those to whom he was never mentioned, they shall see him: and those who have not heard of him, they shall be made obedient.

15:22  For this reason I also have been hindered many times from coming to you.

22  Because of this also, I was greatly hindered in coming to you, and I have been prevented until the present time.

15:23  But now no longer having a place in these regions, and having a longing to come to you for many years,

23  Yet truly now, having no other destination in these regions, and having already had a great desire to come to you over the past many years,

15:24  whenever I travel to Spain, I shall come to you. For I hope [while] traveling through to see you, and to be sent forward there by you, if I may be filled in part [from] you first.

24  whensoever I go unto Spain (for I hope to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first in some measure I shall have been satisfied with your company)--

24  When I leave for Spain, I hope to come to see you: and I hope that you will escort me thence after I have more or less fully enjoyed my visit.

15:25  But now I am traveling to Jerusalem ministering to the saints.

25  But next I will set out for Jerusalem, to minister to the saints.

15:26  For Macedonia and Achaia thought it good to make some contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

26  For the brethren in Mac-e-doÆni-a and A-chaÆia have been pleased to take part in helping the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

15:27  For they thought it good, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles shared in spiritual things, they are obligated also to minister to them in material things.

27  Yea, it hath been their good pleasure; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it [to them] also to minister unto them in carnal things.

15:28  Therefore, having finished and having sealed to them this fruit, I shall go by way of you to Spain.

28  When, therefore, I have accomplished this and have finished distributing to them this kind of help, I will cross over toward you on my way to Spain.

28  When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.

15:29  But I know that coming to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

29  And I know that when I come to you I shall arrive with an abundance of the blessings of the Gospel of Christ.

15:30  Now I beg you, brothers, through YHWH Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in prayers to God on my behalf,

30  Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

30  Therefore, I beg you, brothers, through our Lord Jesus Christ and though the love of the Holy Spirit, that you assist me with your prayers to God on my behalf,

15:31  that I may be delivered from those in Judea who do not believe, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

31  so that I may be freed from the unfaithful who are in Judea, and so that the oblation of my service may be acceptable to the saints in Jerusalem.

15:32  so that in joy I may come to you through the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.

32  that I may come unto you in joy through the will of God, and together with you find rest.

15:33  Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

33  And may the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

16:1  I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is a servant of the church in Cenchrea,

18  For those who are such do not serve our LORD Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by smooth words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple people.

16:19  For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I rejoice on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and innocent to what is evil.

19  But your obedience has been made known in every place. And so, I rejoice in you. But I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple in what is evil.

16:20  And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

16:25  (15:24) Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to [the] revelation of [the ]mystery kept secret since the world began,

25  Now to him that is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which hath been kept in silence through times eternal,

25  But now is made manifest by the scriptures of the prophets; and by the command of the eternal God, and is made known to all the peoples for the obedience of faith

16:26  (15:25) but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the eternal God, for obedience to the faith-

26  (which now has been made clear through the Scriptures of the Prophets, in accord with the precept of the eternal God, unto the obedience of faith) which has been made known among all the Gentiles

26  For God is the only wise one, and to him be glory through Jesus Christ for ever and ever: Amen.

16:27  (15:26) To the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever! Amen

27  to God, who alone is wise, through Jesus Christ, to him be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
