according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

in accord with the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, with the obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: May grace and peace be multiplied for you.

Who have been chosen by the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, to be obedient and to sprinkle the blood of our LORD Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace, be multiplied.

Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Blessed be God, the Father of our LORD Jesus Christ, who by his abundant mercy has again renewed us spiritually to a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, that does not fade away, and is prepared in heaven for you,

who by the power of God [are] being guarded through faith for the salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

While you are kept by the power of God through faith, for the life eternal which is ready to be revealed at the last time.

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Wherein you will rejoice for ever, though at present you are sorrowful for a while, through diverse trials which have come upon you

so that the genuineness of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, though being tested with fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

that the proof of your faith, [being] more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ

So that the proof of your faith, being much more precious than refined gold which has been purified by fire, may be made manifest for the glory and honour and praise at the appearing of Jesus Christ,

Whom not having seen, you love, in whom now not seeing, but believing, you rejoice with inexpressible joy and glorified,

For though you have not seen him, you love him. In him also, though you do not see him, you now believe. And in believing, you shall exult with an inexpressible and glorious joy,

Whom you have not seen, but whom you yet love, and in whose faith you rejoice with exceeding joy that cannot be described;

10  Concerning this salvation the prophets have sought out and inquired carefully, having prophesied of the grace [that would come] to you,

Byz TR Nes

11  searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ in them was revealing when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories which were to follow.

11  inquiring as to what type of condition was signified to them by the Spirit of Christ, when foretelling those sufferings that are in Christ, as well as the subsequent glories.

11  They searched to find out at what time it would be revealed, and the Spirit of Christ which dwelt in them testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

Byz Nes V TR

12  To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to you they were ministering these things, which things were now announced to you by those who proclaimed the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven-things which angels desire to look into.

12  And everything they were searching for was revealed to them because they did not seek for their own benefit, but they prophesied the things which concerned us, the things which now have been revealed to you by those who have preached the gospel to you through the Holy Spirit sent from heaven; which things the angels also desire to look into.

13  Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, stay sober, put your hope fully in the grace brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

13  Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

13  For this reason, gird the waist of your mind, be sober, and hope perfectly in the grace that is offered to you in the revelation of Jesus Christ.

14  Be like sons of obedience, not conforming to the desires of your former ignorance,

14  Like obedient children, not partakers again in those sinful desires for which you once lusted in your ignorance

15  but as He[ ]who called you is holy, you also be holy in all manner of life,

15  but in accord with him who has called you: the Holy One. And in every behavior, you yourself must be holy,

15  But be you holy in all your conduct, as he who has called you is holy;

17  And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, pass the time of your sojourning [here] in fear;

17  And if you invoke as Father him who, without showing favoritism to persons, judges according to each one’s work, then act in fear during the time of your sojourning here.

17  And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear

18  knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your futile way of life handed down from your forefathers,

18  For you know that it was not with corruptible gold or silver that you were redeemed away from your useless behavior in the traditions of your fathers,

20  having been foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, He was made manifest in these last times for you,

20  foreknown, certainly, before the foundation of the world, and made manifest in these latter times for your sake.

21  Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

22  Since you have purified your souls by obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere love for the brothers, love one another fervently from a pure heart,

22  So chastise your souls with the obedience of charity, in fraternal love, and love one another from a simple heart, attentively.

22  Let your souls be sanctified by obedience to the truth, and be filled with sincere love, so that you may love one another with pure and perfect hearts
