27  He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.

27  And the strong are humbled.

28  The arrow cannot make him flee; slingstones are turned with him into stubble.

28  Mauls are counted as stubble; and he laughs to scorn the waving of the firebrand.

28  The wound of the sword is of no effect; the lances of the mighty he removes.

29  Clubs are accounted as stubble; he laugheth at the rattling of the javelin.

29  His lair is formed of sharp points; and all the gold of the sea under him is an immense quantity of clay.

29  He considers iron like straw, and brass like rotten wood.

30  Sharpest potsherds are under him; he spreadeth a threshing-sledge upon the mire.

30  He makes the deep boil like a brazen caldron; and he regards the sea as a pot of ointment,

30  The beams of the sun will be under him, and he will dispense gold to them as if it were clay.

31  He maketh the deep to boil like a pot; he maketh the sea like a seething mixture.

31  and the lowest part of the deep as a captive: he reckons the deep as his range.

31  He will make the depths of the sea boil like a pot, and he will set it to bubble just as ointments do.

32  He maketh a path to shine after him; one would think the deep to be hoary.

32  A path will shine after him; he will esteem the abyss as if it were weakening with age.

32  With his strong body he walks upon the ground.

33  Upon earth there is not his like, who is made to be fearless.

33  He brings to destruction whatever is proud.

34  He looketh at all high things; he is king over all the proud beasts.

34  He sees every prominent thing; he is king over all the sons of arrogance.

34  He is a king over all things in the deep.
