1  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

Lv22:1  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

1  The Lord also spoke to Moses saying

2  Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, which they hallow unto Me, and that they profane not My holy name: I am YHWH.

Lv22:2  Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and let them take heed concerning the holy things of the children of Israel, so they shall not profane my holy name in any of the things which they consecrate to me: I am the Lord.

2  Say to Aaron and to his sons, that they may keep themselves separate from the holy things of the children of Israel and that they may not profane my holy name in those things which they hallow to me; I am the LORD,

3  Say unto them: Whosoever he be of all your seed throughout your generations, that approacheth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto YHWH, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from before Me: I am the YHWH.

Lv22:3  Say to them, Every man throughout your generations, whoever of all your seed shall approach to the holy things, whatsoever the children of Israel shall consecrate to the Lord, while his uncleanness is upon him, that soul shall be cut off from me: I am the Lord your God.

3  Say to them and to their posterity: Every man of your stock, who approaches toward those things which have been consecrated, and which the sons of Israel have brought forward to the Lord, in whom there is uncleanness, shall perish before the Lord. I am the Lord.

4  What man soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath an issue, he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And whoso toucheth any one that is unclean by the dead; or from whomsoever the flow of seed goeth out;

Lv22:4  And the man of the seed of Aaron the priest, if he should have leprosy or issue of the reins, shall not eat of the holy things, until he be cleansed; and he that touches any uncleanness of a dead body, or the man whose seed of copulation shall have gone out from him,

4  The man of the offspring of Aaron, who is a leper or who is suffering a flow of seed, shall not eat of those things which have been sanctified to me, until he is healed. Whoever will have touched what is unclean because of the dead, and he whose seed goes out from him, as if from sexual intercourse,

5  or whosoever toucheth any swarming thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatsoever uncleanness he hath;

Lv22:5  or whosoever shall touch any unclean reptile, which will defile him, or who shall touch a man, whereby he shall defile him according to all his uncleanness

5  and whoever has touched a creeping thing, or any kind of unclean thing, the touching of which is filthy,

6  the soul that toucheth any such shall be unclean until the even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he bathe his flesh in water.

Lv22:6  whatsoever soul shall touch them shall be unclean until evening; he shall not eat of the holy things, unless he bathe his body in water,

6  shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat those things which have been sanctified. But when he has washed his flesh with water,

7  And when the sun is down, he shall be clean; and afterward he may eat of the holy things, because it is his bread.

Lv22:7  and the sun go down, and then he shall be clean; and then shall he eat of all the holy things, for they are his bread.

7  and the sun has set, then, having been purified, he shall eat from what has been sanctified, because it is his food.

8  That which dieth of itself, or is torn of beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am YHWH.

Lv22:8  He shall not eat that which dies of itself, or is taken of beasts, so that he should be polluted by them: I am the Lord.

8  Whatever dies on its own, and whatever has been seized by a wild beast, they shall not eat, nor shall they be polluted by these. I am the Lord.

9  They shall therefore keep My charge, lest they bear sin for it, and die therein, if they profane it: I am YHWH who sanctify them.

Lv22:9  And they shall keep my ordinances, that they do not bear iniquity because of them, and die because of them, if they shall profane them: I am the Lord God that sanctifies them.

9  Let them observe my precepts, so that they may not fall under sin, and die in the Sanctuary, when they will have defiled it. I am the Lord, who sanctifies them.

10  There shall no common man eat of the holy thing; a tenant of a priest, or a hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.

Lv22:10  And no stranger shall eat the holy things: one that sojourns with a priest, or a hireling, shall not eat the holy things.

10  No foreigner shall eat from what has been sanctified; a guest of the priests and a hired servant shall not eat from them.

11  But if a priest buy any soul, the purchase of his money, he may eat of it; and such as are born in his house, they may eat of his bread.

11  But whomever the priest has bought, and whoever has been born into his house, these shall eat from them.

11  But if the priest buy any soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they shall eat of his meat.

12  And if a priest's daughter be married unto a common man, she shall not eat of that which is set apart from the holy things.

13  But if a priest's daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father's house, as in her youth, she may eat of her father's bread; but there shall no common man eat thereof.

Lv22:13  And if the daughter of priest should be a widow, or put away, and have no seed, she shall return to her father’s house, as in her youth: she shall eat of her father’s bread, but no stranger shall eat of it.

13  But if she is a widow or divorced, and, being without children, she returns to her father’s house, she shall be nourished by her father’s foods, just as she was accustomed to do as a girl. No foreigner shall have the authority to eat from them.

14  And if a man eat of the holy thing through error, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give unto the priest the holy thing.

Lv22:14  And the man who shall ignorantly eat holy things, shall add the fifth part to it, and give the holy thing to the priest.

14  Whoever, through ignorance, eats from what has been sanctified shall add a fifth part to that which he ate, and he shall give it to the priest at the Sanctuary.

15  And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they set apart unto YHWH;

15  And the children of Israel shall not profane the holy things which they offer to the LORD;

16  and so cause them to bear the iniquity that bringeth guilt, when they eat their holy things; for I am YHWH who sanctify them.

Lv22:16  So should they bring upon themselves the iniquity of trespass in their eating their holy things: for I am the Lord that sanctifies them.

16  lest perhaps they may suffer the iniquity of their offense, when they will have eaten what has been sanctified. I am the Lord, who sanctifies them.

17  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

Lv22:17  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

18  Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them: Whosoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that bringeth his offering, whether it be any of their vows, or any of their free-will-offerings, which are brought unto YHWH for a burnt-offering;

Lv22:18  Speak to Aaron and his sons, and to all the congregation of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Any man of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that abide among them in Israel, who shall offer his gifts according to all their confession and according to all their choice, whatsoever they may bring to the Lord for whole-burnt-offerings—

19  that ye may be accepted, ye shall offer a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats.

Lv22:19  your free-will-offerings shall be males without blemish of the herds, or of the sheep, or of the goats.

19  in order to be offered through you, shall offer an immaculate male from the oxen, or from the sheep, or from the goats.

20  But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not bring; for it shall not be acceptable for you.

Lv22:20  They shall not bring to the Lord anything that has a blemish in it, for it shall not be acceptable for you.

20  If it has a blemish, you shall not offer it, and it shall not be acceptable.

21  And whosoever bringeth a sacrifice of peace-offerings unto YHWH in fulfilment of a vow clearly uttered, or for a freewill- offering, of the herd or of the flock, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein.

Lv22:21  And whatsoever man shall offer a peace-offering to the Lord, discharging a vow, or in the way of free-will-offering, or an offering in your feasts, of the herds or of the sheep, it shall be without blemish for acceptance: there shall be no blemish in it.

21  The man who will have offered a victim of peace offerings to the Lord, either fulfilling his vows or offering spontaneously, whether of oxen, or of sheep, shall offer what is immaculate, so that it may be acceptable. There shall be no blemish in it.

22  Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scabbed, or scurvy, ye shall not offer these unto YHWH, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the YHWH.

Lv22:22  One that is blind, or broken, or has its tongue cut out, or is troubled with warts, or has a malignant ulcer, or tetters, they shall not offer these to the Lord; neither shall ye offer any of them for a burnt-offering on the altar of the Lord.

22  If it is blind, or if it is broken, or if it has a scar, or if it is has a boil, or a skin disease or infection, you shall not offer these to the Lord, nor shall you burn any of these upon the altar of the Lord.

23  Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing too long or too short, that mayest thou offer for a freewill-offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

Lv22:23  And a calf or a sheep with the ears cut off, or that has lost its tail, thou shalt slay them for thyself; but they shall not be accepted for thy vow.

23  An ox or a sheep, having an amputated ear or tail, you are able to offer voluntarily, but a vow is not able to be fulfilled by these.

24  That which hath its stones bruised, or crushed, or torn, or cut, ye shall not offer unto YHWH; neither shall ye do thus in your land.

24  You shall not offer to the Lord any animal which has the testicles bruised, or crushed, or cut and taken away, and you shall not cause any of these things in your land.

24  Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.

25  Neither from the hand of a foreigner shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these, because their corruption is in them, there is a blemish in them; they shall not be accepted for you.

Lv22:25  Neither shall ye offer the gifts of your God of all these things by the hand of a stranger, because there is corruption in them, a blemish in them: these shall not be accepted for you.

25  From the hand of a foreigner, you shall not offer bread to your God, nor anything else that he would choose to give; for all this has been corrupted and blemished. You shall not accept them.

26  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

Lv22:26  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

27  When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; but from the eighth day and thenceforth it may be accepted for an offering made by fire unto YHWH.

27  An ox, a sheep, or a goat, when they have been born, shall be under the udder of their mother for seven days. But on the eighth day and thereafter, they are able to be offered to the Lord.

28  And whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill it and its young both in one day.

Lv22:28  And a bullock and a ewe, it and its young, thou shalt not kill in one day.

28  Whether it is an ox, or a sheep, they shall not be immolated on the same day with their newborns.

29  And when ye sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto YHWH, ye shall sacrifice it that ye may be accepted.

Lv22:29  And if thou shouldest offer a sacrifice, a vow of rejoicing to the Lord, ye shall offer it so as to be accepted for you.

29  If you immolate a victim as an act of thanksgiving to the Lord, so that he may be pleased,

30  On the same day it shall be eaten; ye shall leave none of it until the morning: I am YHWH.

Lv22:30  In that same day it shall be eaten; ye shall not leave of the flesh till the morrow: I am the Lord.

30  you shall eat it on the same day; none of it shall remain until morning on the next day. I am the Lord.

31  And ye shall keep My commandments, and do them: I am YHWH.

31  Observe my commandments, and do them. I am the Lord.

31  Therefore you shall keep my commandments and do them; I am the LORD.

32  And ye shall not profane My holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am YHWH who hallow you,

32  Do not pollute my holy name, so that I may be sanctified in the midst of the sons of Israel. I am the Lord, who sanctifies you,

33  that brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am YHWH.

Lv22:33  who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord.

33  and who led you away from the land of Egypt, so that I may be to you as God. I am the Lord.

23:1  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

Lv23:1  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

23:2  Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: The appointed seasons of YHWH, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My appointed seasons.

Lv23:2  Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, The feasts of the Lord which ye shall call holy assemblies, these are my feasts.

2  Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: These are the feasts of the Lord, which you shall call holy.

23:3  Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of work; it is a sabbath unto YHWH in all your dwellings.

3  For six days you shall do work; the seventh day, because it is the rest of the Sabbath, shall be called holy. You shall do no work on that day; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwelling places.

23:4  These are the appointed seasons of YHWH, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their appointed season.

4  Therefore, these are the feasts of the Lord, which you must celebrate in their times.

23:5  In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at dusk, is YHWH'S passover.

5  The first month, the fourteenth day of the month, at evening, is the Passover of the Lord.

5  On the fourteenth day of the first month at evening is the LORD'S passover.

23:6  And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto YHWH; seven days ye shall eat unleavened bread.

6  And the fifteenth day of this month is the solemnity of the unleavened bread of the Lord. For seven days shall you eat unleavened bread.

23:7  In the first day ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work.

Lv23:7  And the first day shall be a holy convocation to you: ye shall do no servile work.

7  The first day shall be greatly honored and holy to you; you shall do no servile work in it.

23:8  And ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto YHWH seven days; in the seventh day is a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work.

Lv23:8  And ye shall offer whole-burnt-offerings to the Lord seven days; and the seventh day shall be a holy convocation to you: ye shall do no servile work.

8  But you shall offer a sacrifice with fire, for seven days, to the Lord. Then the seventh day shall be more honored and more holy; and you shall do no servile work in it.

23:9  And YHWH spoke unto Moses saying

Lv23:9  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

23:10  Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: When ye are come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring the sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest unto the priest.

Lv23:10  Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, When ye shall enter into the land which I give you, and reap the harvest of it, then shall ye bring a sheaf, the first-fruits of your harvest, to the priest;

10  Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: When you will have entered into the land which I will give to you, and you will have harvested your grain fields, you shall carry the sheaves of grain, the first-fruits of your harvest, to the priest.

23:11  And he shall wave the sheaf before YHWH, to be accepted for you; on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

Lv23:11  and he shall lift up the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you. On the morrow of the first day the priest shall lift it up.

11  He shall lift up a sheaf before the Lord, on the day after the Sabbath, so that it may be acceptable for you, and he shall sanctify it.

23:12  And in the day when ye wave the sheaf, ye shall offer a he-lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt-offering unto YHWH.

12  And on the same day that the sheaf is consecrated, a one-year-old immaculate lamb shall be slain as a holocaust of the Lord.

23:13  And the meal-offering thereof shall be two tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto YHWH for a sweet savour; and the drink-offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin.

Lv23:13  And its meat-offering two tenth portions of fine flour mingled with oil: it is a sacrifice to the Lord, a smell of sweet savour to the Lord, and its drink-offering the fourth part of a hin of wine.

13  And the libations shall be offered with it: two-tenths of fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil, as an incense and a most sweet odor for the Lord; likewise, libations of wine, the fourth part of a hin.

23:14  And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor fresh ears, until this selfsame day, until ye have brought the offering of your God; it is a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

14  Bread, and parched grain, and boiled grain, you shall not eat from the grain field, until the day when you shall offer from it to your God. It is an everlasting precept in your generations and in all of your dwelling places.

23:15  And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the day of rest, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the waving; seven weeks shall there be complete;

Lv23:15  And ye shall number to yourselves from the day after the sabbath, from the day on which ye shall offer the sheaf of the heave-offering, seven full weeks

15  Therefore, you shall number from the day after the Sabbath, in which you offered a sheaf of the first-fruits, seven full weeks,

23:16  even unto the morrow after the seventh week shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall present a new meal-offering unto YHWH.

Lv23:16  until the morrow after the last week ye shall number fifty days, and shall bring a new meat-offering to the Lord.

16  all the way to the day after the completion of the seventh week, that is, fifty days, and then you shall offer a new sacrifice to the Lord,

23:17  Ye shall bring out of your dwellings two wave-loaves of two tenth parts of an ephah; they shall be of fine flour, they shall be baked with leaven, for first-fruits unto YHWH.

17  from all of your dwelling places: two loaves from the first-fruits, from two-tenths of leavened fine wheat flour, which you shall bake as the first-fruits of the Lord.

17  You shall bring out of your dwellings two wave loaves of two tenths of an ephah; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven; they are the first-fruits to the LORD.

23:18  And ye shall present with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams; they shall be a burnt-offering unto YHWH, with their meal-offering, and their drink-offerings, even an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the YHWH.

Lv23:18  And ye shall bring with the loaves seven unblemished lambs of a year old, and one calf of the herd, and two rams without blemish, and they shall be a whole-burnt-offering to the Lord: and their meat-offerings and their drink-offerings shall be a sacrifice, a smell of sweet savour to the Lord.

18  And you shall offer with the bread: seven immaculate one-year-old lambs, and one calf from the herd, and two rams, and these shall be a holocaust, with their libations, as a most sweet odor to the Lord.

23:19  And ye shall offer one he-goat for a sin-offering, and two he-lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace-offerings.

Lv23:19  And they shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin-offering, and two lambs of a year old for a peace-offering, with the loaves of the first-fruits.

19  You shall also offer a he-goat for sin, and two one-year-old lambs as victims of peace offerings.

23:20  And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first-fruits for a wave-offering before YHWH, with the two lambs; they shall be holy to the YHWH for the priest.

20  And when the priest has lifted them up with the loaves of the first-fruits, in the sight of the Lord, they shall fall to his use.

23:21  And ye shall make proclamation on the selfsame day; there shall be a holy convocation unto you; ye shall do no manner of servile work; it is a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

Lv23:21  And ye shall call this day a convocation: it shall be holy to you; ye shall do no servile work on it: it is a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations in all your habitations.

21  And you shall call this day most honored and most holy; you shall do no servile work in it. It shall be an everlasting ordinance in all your dwelling places and generations.

23:22  And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corner of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleaning of thy harvest; thou shalt leave them for the poor, and for the stranger: I am YHWH your God.

Lv23:22  And when ye shall reap the harvest of your land, ye shall not fully reap the remainder of the harvest of your field when thou reapest, and thou shalt not gather that which falls from thy reaping; thou shalt leave it for the poor and the stranger: I am the Lord your God.

22  And when you will have harvested the grain fields of your land, you shall not cut it down all the way to the ground; neither shall you gather the remnants of the ears of grain, but you shall leave these for paupers and strangers. I am the Lord your God.

23:23  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

Lv23:23  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

23:24  Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest unto you, a memorial proclaimed with the blast of horns, a holy convocation.

24  Say to the sons of Israel: The seventh month, the first day of the month, shall be a Sabbath for you, a memorial, with the sounding of trumpets, and it shall be called holy.

24  Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, The seventh month on the first day of the month shall be to you a day of rest, and a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

23:25  Ye shall do no manner of servile work; and ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto YHWH.

25  You shall do no servile work in it, and you shall offer a holocaust to the Lord.

23:26  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

Lv23:26  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

23:27  Howbeit on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement; there shall be a holy convocation unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls; and ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto YHWH.

Lv23:27  Also on the tenth day of this seventh month is a day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation to you; and ye shall humble your souls, and offer a whole-burnt-offering to the Lord.

27  The tenth day of this seventh month shall be the day of atonement; it shall be most honored, and it shall be called holy. And you shall afflict your souls on that day, and you shall offer a holocaust to the Lord.

23:28  And ye shall do no manner of work in that same day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before YHWH your God.

Lv23:28  Ye shall do no work on this self-same day: for this is a day of atonement for you, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God.

28  You shall do no servile work in the time of this day; for it is a day of propitiation, so that the Lord your God may be merciful to you.

23:29  For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from his people.

Lv23:29  Every soul that shall not be humbled in that day, shall be cut off from among its people.

23:30  And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any manner of work in that same day, that soul will I destroy from among his people.

Lv23:30  And every soul which shall do work on that day, that soul shall be destroyed from among its people.

30  and anyone who will have done work, I shall wipe him away from his people.

23:31  Ye shall do no manner of work; it is a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

31  Therefore, you shall do no work on that day. This shall be an everlasting ordinance for you in all your generations and dwelling places.

23:32  It shall be unto you a sabbath of solemn rest, and ye shall afflict your souls; in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye keep your sabbath.

32  It is a Sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls beginning on the ninth day of the month: from evening until evening you shall celebrate your Sabbaths.

23:33  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

Lv23:33  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

23:34  Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto YHWH.

Lv23:34  Speak to the children of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month, there shall be a feast of tabernacles seven days to the Lord.

34  Say to the sons of Israel: From the fifteenth day of this seventh month, there shall be the Feast of Tabernacles: seven days for the Lord.

23:35  On the first day shall be a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work.

Lv23:35  And on the first day shall be a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work.

35  The first day shall be called most honored and most holy; you shall do no servile work in it.

23:36  Seven days ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto YHWH; on the eighth day shall be a holy convocation unto you; and ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto the YHWH; it is a day of solemn assembly; ye shall do no manner of servile work.

Lv23:36  Seven days shall ye offer whole-burnt-offerings to the Lord, and the eighth-day shall be a holy convocation to you; and ye shall offer whole-burnt-offerings to the Lord: it is a time of release, ye shall do no servile work.

36  And for seven days you shall offer holocausts to the Lord. Likewise, the eighth day shall be most honored and most holy, and you shall offer holocausts to the Lord. For it is the day of assembly and gathering. You shall do no servile work in it.

23:37  These are the appointed seasons of YHWH, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to bring an offering made by fire unto the YHWH, a burnt-offering, and a meal-offering, a sacrifice, and drink-offerings, each on its own day;

Lv23:37  These are the feasts to the Lord, which ye shall call holy convocations, to offer burnt-offerings to the Lord, whole-burnt-offerings and their meat-offerings, and their drink-offerings, that for each day on its day

37  These are the feasts of the Lord, which you shall call most honored and most holy, and in them you shall offer oblations to the Lord: holocausts and libations according to the rite of each particular day,

23:38  beside the sabbaths of YHWH, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill-offerings, which ye give unto the YHWH.

Lv23:38  besides the sabbaths of the Lord, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides your free-will-offerings, which ye shall give to the Lord.

38  aside from the Sabbaths of the Lord, and your donations, and that which you offer by a vow, or which you give to the Lord spontaneously.

23:39  Howbeit on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruits of the land, ye shall keep the feast of YHWH seven days; on the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest.

39  Therefore, from the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you will have gathered together all the fruits of your land, you shall celebrate the feast of the Lord for seven days. The first day and the eighth day shall be a Sabbath, that is, a day of rest.

23:40  And ye shall take you on the first day the fruit of goodly trees, branches of palm-trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook, and ye shall rejoice before YHWH your God seven days.

Lv23:40  And on the first day ye shall take goodly fruit of trees, and branches of palm trees, and thick boughs of trees, and willows, and branches of osiers from the brook, to rejoice before the Lord your God seven days in the year.

40  And you shall take for yourselves, on the first day, the fruits of the most beautiful tree, and branches of palm trees, and branches of trees with thick foliage, and willows from the torrent. And you shall rejoice in the sight of the Lord your God.

23:41  And ye shall keep it a feast unto YHWH seven days in the year; it is a statute for ever in your generations; ye shall keep it in the seventh month.

Lv23:41  It is a perpetual statute for your generations: in the seventh month ye shall keep it.

41  And you shall celebrate its solemnity for seven days each year. This shall be an everlasting ordinance in your generations. In the seventh month, you shall celebrate the feast,

23:42  Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are home-born in Israel shall dwell in booths;

Lv23:42  Seven days ye shall dwell in tabernacles: every native in Israel shall dwell in tents,

42  and you shall live under shelters for seven days. All who are of the family of Israel shall dwell in tabernacles,

23:43  that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am YHWH your God.

Lv23:43  that your posterity may see, that I made the children of Israel to dwell in tents, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

43  so that your posterity may learn that I caused the sons of Israel to live in tabernacles, when I led them away from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

23:44  And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the appointed seasons of YHWH.

Lv23:44  And Moses recounted the feasts of the Lord to the children of Israel.

44  And Moses spoke about the solemnities of the Lord to the sons of Israel.

24:1  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

Lv24:1  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

24:2  'Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.

Lv24:2  Charge the children of Israel, and let them take for thee pure olive oil beaten for the light, to burn a lamp continually,

2  Instruct the sons of Israel, so that they may bring to you clear oil from the purest olives, in order to supply the lamps continuously

24:3  Without the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, shall Aaron order it from evening to morning before YHWH continually; it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations.

Lv24:3  outside the veil in the tabernacle of witness; and Aaron and his sons shall burn it from evening until morning before the Lord continually, a perpetual statute throughout your generations.

3  Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron set them in order from the evening to the morning before the LORD continually; it is a statute for ever throughout your generations.

24:4  He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before YHWH continually.

Lv24:4  Ye shall burn the lamps on the pure lamp-stand before the Lord till the morrow.

4  They shall be placed upon the most pure candlestick in the sight of the Lord always.

24:5  And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth parts of an ephah shall be in one cake.

Lv24:5  And ye shall take fine flour, and make of it twelve loaves; each loaf shall be of two tenth parts.

5  You shall also receive fine wheat flour, and you shall bake twelve loaves from it, each loaf of which shall have two-tenths.

24:6  And thou shalt set them in two rows, six in a row, upon the pure table before YHWH.

Lv24:6  And ye shall put them in two rows, each row containing six loaves, on the pure table before the Lord.

6  And you shall arrange them, six on each side, upon the most pure table before the Lord.

24:7  And thou shalt put pure frankincense with each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial-part, even an offering made by fire unto YHWH.

Lv24:7  And ye shall put on each row pure frankincense and salt; and these things shall be for loaves for a memorial, set forth before the Lord.

24:8  Every sabbath day he shall set it in order before YHWH continually; it is from the children of Israel, an everlasting covenant.

Lv24:8  On the sabbath-day they shall be set forth before the Lord continually before the children of Israel, for an everlasting covenant.

8  On each Sabbath, they shall be changed before the Lord, having been received from the sons of Israel as an everlasting covenant.

24:9  And it shall be for Aaron and his sons; and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of YHWH made by fire, a perpetual due.'

Lv24:9  And they shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat them in the holy place: for this is their most holy portion of the offerings made to the Lord, a perpetual statute.

24:10  And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp.

Lv24:10  And there went forth a son of an Israelitish woman, and he was son of an Egyptian man among the sons of Israel; and they fought in the camp, the son of the Israelitish woman, and a man who was an Israelite.

10  Then, behold, the son of an Israelite woman, whom she had born of an Egyptian man among the sons of Israel, going out, was quarreling in the camp with a man of Israel.

24:11  And the son of the Israelitish woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him unto Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

11  And when he had blasphemed the name, and had cursed it, he was led to Moses. (Now his mother was called Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri from the tribe of Dan.)

24:12  And they put him in ward, that it might be declared unto them at the mouth of YHWH.

12  And they sent him to prison, until they might know what the Lord would command,

24:13  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

Lv24:13  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

13  who spoke to Moses,

24:14  'Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

Lv24:14  Bring forth him that cursed outside the camp, and all who heard shall lay their hands upon his head, and all the congregation shall stone him.

14  saying: Lead away the blasphemer beyond the camp, and let all who heard him place their hands upon his head, and let the entire people stone him.

24:15  And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying: Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.

Lv24:15  And speak to the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Whosoever shall curse God shall bear his sin.

15  And you shall say to the sons of Israel: The man who curses his God shall bear his sin,

24:16  And he that blasphemeth the name of YHWH, he shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him; as well the stranger, as the home-born, when he blasphemeth the Name, shall be put to death.

Lv24:16  And he that names the name of the Lord, let him die the death: let all the congregation of Israel stone him with stones; whether he be a stranger or a native, let him die for naming the name of the Lord.

16  and whoever will have blasphemed the name of the Lord shall be put to death. The entire multitude shall overwhelm him with stones, whether he be a citizen or a sojourner. Whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall be put to death.

24:17  And he that smiteth any man mortally shall surely be put to death.

Lv24:17  And whosoever shall smite a man and he die, let him die the death.

17  Whoever will have struck and killed a man shall be put to death.

24:18  And he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good: life for life.

Lv24:18  And whosoever shall smite a beast, and it shall die, let him render life for life.

18  Whoever will have struck down an animal shall repay its equivalent, that is, a life for a life.

24:19  And if a man maim his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him

Lv24:19  And whosoever shall inflict a blemish on his neighbour, as he has done to him, so shall it be done to himself in return;

19  Whoever will have inflicted a blemish on any of his citizens, just as he has done, so shall it be done to him

24:20  breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he hath maimed a man, so shall it be rendered unto him.

20  fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, shall he repay. Whatever degree of blemish he has inflicted, so shall he be compelled to suffer.

24:21  And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; and he that killeth a man shall be put to death.

Lv24:21  Whosoever shall smite a man, and he shall die, let him die the death.

21  Whoever strikes down a beast, shall repay another. Whoever strikes a man shall be punished.

24:22  Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for the home-born; for I am YHWH your God.'

Lv24:22  There shall be one judgement for the stranger and the native, for I am the Lord your God.

22  Let there be equal judgment among you, whether it is a sojourner or a citizen who will have sinned. For I am the Lord your God.

24:23  And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and they brought forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as YHWH commanded Moses.

25:2  Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto YHWH.

Lv25:2  Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Whensoever ye shall have entered into the land, which I give to you, then the land shall rest which I give to you, for its sabbaths to the Lord.

2  Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: When you will have entered into the land which I will give to you, rest on the Sabbath of the Lord.

25:3  Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the produce thereof.

3  For six years you shall sow your field, and for six years you shall care for your vineyard, and you shall gather its fruits.

3  Six years you shall sow your fields and six years you shall prune your vineyards and six years you shall gather in your produce;

25:4  But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath unto YHWH; thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

4  But the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest to the land, and it shall be to you a sabbath for the LORD; you shall neither sow your fields nor prune your vineyards.

25:5  That which groweth of itself of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, and the grapes of thy undressed vine thou shalt not gather; it shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.

Lv25:5  And thou shalt not gather the spontaneous produce of thy field, and thou shalt not gather fully the grapes of thy dedication: it shall be a year of rest to the land.

5  What the soil shall spontaneously produce, you shall not harvest. And you shall not gather the grapes of the first-fruits as a crop. For it is a year of rest for the land.

25:6  And the sabbath-produce of the land shall be for food for you: for thee, and for thy servant and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant and for the settler by thy side that sojourn with thee;

Lv25:6  And the sabbaths of the land shall be food for thee, and for thy man-servant, and for thy maid-servant, and thy hireling, and the stranger that abides with thee.

6  But these shall be yours for food, for you and for your men and women servants, and for your hired hands, and for the newcomers who sojourn with you

25:7  and for thy cattle, and for the beasts that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be for food.

7  all that grows on its own shall provide food for your beasts and cattle.

25:8  And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and there shall be unto thee the days of seven sabbaths of years, even forty and nine years.

8  You shall also number for yourselves seven weeks of years, that is, seven times seven, which together makes forty-nine years.

8  And you shall count seven sabbaths of years to you, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years.

25:9  Then shalt thou make proclamation with the blast of the horn on the tenth day of the seventh month; in the day of atonement shall ye make proclamation with the horn throughout all your land.

Lv25:9  In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall make a proclamation with the sound of a trumpet in all your land; on the day of atonement ye shall make a proclamation with a trumpet in all your land.

9  And you shall sound the trumpet in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, at the time of the atonement, throughout all your land.

25:10  And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land unto all the inhabitants thereof; it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

Lv25:10  And ye shall sanctify the year, the fiftieth year, and ye shall proclaim a release upon the land to all that inhabit it; it shall be given a year of release, a jubilee for you; and each one shall depart to his possession, and ye shall go each to his family.

10  And you shall sanctify the fiftieth year, and you shall proclaim a remission for all the inhabitants of your land: for the same is the Jubilee. A man shall return to his possession, and each one shall go back to his original family,

25:11  A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you; ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of the undressed vines.

Lv25:11  This is a jubilee of release, the year shall be to you the fiftieth year: ye shall not sow, nor reap the produce that comes of itself from the land, neither shall ye gather its dedicated fruits.

11  for it is the Jubilee and the fiftieth year. You shall not sow, and you shall not reap what grows in the field of its own accord, and you shall not gather the first-fruits of the crop,

25:12  For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy unto you; ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.

12  due to the sanctification of the Jubilee. But you shall eat them as they present themselves.

25:13  In this year of jubilee ye shall return every man unto his possession.

Lv25:13  In the year of the release even the jubilee of it, shall each one return to his possession.

25:14  And if thou sell aught unto thy neighbour, or buy of thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not wrong one another.

Lv25:14  And if thou shouldest sell a possession to thy neighbour, or if thou shouldest buy of thy neighbour, let not a man oppress his neighbour.

14  When you will sell anything to your fellow citizen, or buy anything from him, do not cause your brother grief, but buy from him according to the number of years from the Jubilee,

25:15  According to the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the crops he shall sell unto thee.

15  and he shall sell to you according to the computation of the produce.

25:16  According to the multitude of the years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of the years thou shalt diminish the price of it; for the number of crops doth he sell unto thee.

Lv25:16  According as there may be a greater number of years he shall increase the value of his possession, and according as there may be a less number of years he shall lessen the value of his possession; for according to the number of his crops, so shall he sell to thee.

16  The more years that will remain after the Jubilee, the more the price shall increase, and the less the time is numbered, so much less shall the purchase price be. For he will sell to you the time for the produce.

25:17  And ye shall not wrong one another; but thou shalt fear thy God; for I am YHWH your God.

Lv25:17  Let not a man oppress his neighbour, and thou shalt fear the Lord thy God: I am the Lord thy God.

17  Do be willing to afflict your countrymen, but let each one fear his God. For I am the Lord your God.

25:18  Wherefore ye shall do My statutes, and keep Mine ordinances and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

Lv25:18  And ye shall keep all my ordinances, and all my judgements; and do ye observe them, and ye shall keep them, and dwell securely in the land.

18  Accomplish my precepts, and observe my judgments, and complete them, so that you may be able to live in the land without any fear,

25:19  And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat until ye have enough, and dwell therein in safety.

19  and so that the soil may produce its fruits for you, from which you may eat, even to fullness, dreading violence by no one.

25:20  And if ye shall say: 'What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we may not sow, nor gather in our increase';

Lv25:20  And if ye should say, What shall we eat in this seventh year, if we do not sow nor gather in our fruits?

20  But if you will say: What shall we eat in the seventh year, if we do not sow and do not gather our produce?

25:21  then I will command My blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth produce for the three years.

21  I will give my blessing to you in the sixth year, and it shall yield the produce of three years.

25:22  And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat of the produce, the old store; until the ninth year, until her produce come in, ye shall eat the old store.

25:23  And the land shall not be sold in perpetuity; for the land is Mine; for ye are strangers and settlers with Me.

23  Surely the land shall not be sold outright; for the land is mine; you are strangers and sojourners with me.

25:24  And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.

Lv25:24  And in every land of your possession, ye shall allow ransoms for the land.

24  Therefore, every region of your possession shall be sold under the condition of redemption.

25:25  If thy brother be waxen poor, and sell some of his possession, then shall his kinsman that is next unto him come, and shall redeem that which his brother hath sold.

Lv25:25  And if thy brother who is with thee be poor, and should have sold part of his possession, and his kinsman who is nigh to him come, then he shall redeem the possession which his brother has sold.

25  If your brother, being in need, will have sold his little possession and his close relative is willing, he is able to redeem what he had sold.

25:26  And if a man have no one to redeem it, and he be waxen rich and find sufficient means to redeem it;

Lv25:26  And if one have no near kinsman, and he prosper with his hand, and he find sufficient money, even his ransom;

26  But if he has no near relative, and he himself is able to find the price to redeem it,

25:27  then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; and he shall return unto his possession.

Lv25:27  then shall he calculate the years of his sale, and he shall give what is due to the man to whom he sold it, and he shall return to his possession.

27  the produce shall be calculated from that time when he sold it. And what is lacking, he shall repay to the buyer, and so he shall receive his possession.

25:28  But if he have not sufficient means to get it back for himself, then that which he hath sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubilee; and in the jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.

Lv25:28  But if his hand have not prospered sufficiently, so as that he should restore the money to him, then he that bought the possessions shall have them till the sixth year of the release; and it shall go out in the release, and the owner shall return to his possession.

25:29  And if a man sell a dwelling-house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; for a full year shall he have the right of redemption.

29  Whoever will have sold a house within the walls of a city shall have the freedom to redeem it, until one year has been completed.

25:30  And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be made sure in perpetuity to him that bought it, throughout his generations; it shall not go out in the jubilee.

30  If he has not redeemed it, and the year will have turned full circle, the buyer and his posterity shall possess it, in perpetuity, and it is not able to be redeemed, even in the Jubilee.

25:31  But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be reckoned with the fields of the country; they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubilee.

31  But if the house is in a village, which has no walls, it shall be sold by the law of the fields. If it has not been redeemed beforehand, then in the Jubilee it shall return to the owner.

25:32  But as for the cities of the Levites, the houses of the cities of their possession, the Levites shall have a perpetual right of redemption.

32  The buildings of the Levites, which are in the cities, are always able to be redeemed.

25:33  And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold in the city of his possession, shall go out in the jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.

Lv25:33  And if any one shall redeem a house of the Levites, then shall their sale of the houses of their possession go out in the release; because the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession in the midst of the children of Israel.

33  If they have not been redeemed, then in the Jubilee they shall return to the owners, for the houses of the cities of the Levites are for their possession among the sons of Israel.

25:34  But the fields of the open land about their cities may not be sold; for that is their perpetual possession.

Lv25:34  And the lands set apart for their cities shall not be sold, because this is their perpetual possession.

34  But let not their suburbs be sold, for it is an everlasting possession.

25:35  And if thy brother be waxen poor, and his means fail with thee; then thou shalt uphold him: as a stranger and a settler shall he live with thee.

35  If your brother has become impoverished, or infirm of hand, and you take him in, like a newcomer or a sojourner, and he lives with you,

35  And if your brother becomes poor and stretches out his hand for help, you shall not look upon him as a stranger or a sojourner; he shall live with you.

25:36  Take thou no interest of him or increase; but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.

36  do not accept usury from him, nor anything more than what you gave. Fear your God, so that your brother may be able to live with you.

25:37  Thou shalt not give him thy money upon interest, nor give him thy victuals for increase.

Lv25:37  Thou shalt not lend thy money to him at interest, and thou shalt not lend thy meat to him to be returned with increase.

37  You shall not give him your money by usury, nor exact from him an overabundance of produce.

25:38  I am YHWH your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, to be your God.

Lv25:38  I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Chanaan, so as to be your God.

25:39  And if thy brother be waxen poor with thee, and sell himself unto thee, thou shalt not make him to serve as a bondservant.

39  If your brother, having been compelled by poverty, will have sold himself to you, you shall not oppress him with the servitude of indentured servants.

39  And if your brother becomes poor and be sold to you, you shall not compel him to serve as a bondservant;

25:40  As a hired servant, and as a settler, he shall be with thee; he shall serve with thee unto the year of jubilee.

Lv25:40  He shall be with thee as a hireling or a sojourner, he shall work for thee till the year of release

40  But as a hired laborer, and as a sojourner, he shall be with you, and shall serve you until the year of jubilee;

25:41  Then shall he go out from thee, he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.

Lv25:41  and he shall go out in the release, and his children with him; and he shall go to his family, he shall hasten back to his patrimony.

41  And after that, he shall depart with his children, and he shall return to his kindred, to the possession of his fathers.

25:42  For they are My servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as bondmen.

Lv25:42  Because these are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; such an one shall not be sold as a common servant.

42  For these are my servants, and I led them away from the land of Egypt; let them not be sold into the condition of servitude.

25:43  Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.

43  Do not afflict him by power, but be fearful of your God.

43  You shall not compel them to do hard work; but shall fear your God.

25:44  And as for thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, whom thou mayest have: of the nations that are round about you, of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.

Lv25:44  And whatever number of men-servants and maid-servants thou shalt have, thou shalt purchase male and female servants from the nations that are round about thee.

44  Let your male and female servants be from the nations which are all around you,

25:45  Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them may ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they have begotten in your land; and they may be your possession.

Lv25:45  And of the sons of the sojourners that are among you, of these ye shall buy and of their relations, all that shall be in your lands; let them be to you for a possession.

45  and from the newcomers who sojourn with you, or who have been born from them in your land. These you shall have as servants,

25:46  And ye may make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession: of them may ye take your bondmen for ever; but over your brethren the children of Israel ye shall not rule, one over another, with rigour.

Lv25:46  And ye shall distribute them to your children after you, and they shall be to you permanent possessions for ever: but of your brethren the children of Israel, one shall not oppress his brother in labours.

46  and, by the right of inheritance, you shall transmit them to your posterity, and you shall possess them forever. But do not oppress your brothers, the sons of Israel, by power.

25:47  And if a stranger who is a settler with thee be waxen rich, and thy brother be waxen poor beside him, and sell himself unto the stranger who is a settler with thee, or to the offshoot of a stranger's family,

47  If the hand of a newcomer or a sojourner will have grown strong among you, and your brother, having become impoverished, will have sold himself to him, or to any of his stock,

25:48  after that he is sold he may be redeemed; one of his brethren may redeem him;

Lv25:48  after he is sold to him there shall be redemption for him, one of his brethren shall redeem him.

48  after the sale, he is able to be redeemed. Whoever is willing among his brothers shall redeem him

25:49  or his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be waxen rich, he may redeem himself.

Lv25:49  A brother of his father, or a son of his father’s brother shall redeem him; or let one of his near kin of his tribe redeem him, and if he should be rich and redeem himself,

49  either the paternal uncle, or the paternal uncle’s son, or his close relative, by blood or by affinity. But if he himself will be able also, he shall redeem himself,

25:50  And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he sold himself to him unto the year of jubilee; and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years; according to the time of a hired servant shall he be with him.

Lv25:50  then shall he calculate with his purchaser from the year that he sold himself to him until the year of release: and the money of his purchase shall be as that of a hireling, he shall be with him from year to year.

50  considering only the years from the time of his selling until the year of the Jubilee, and calculating the money for which he was sold, according to the number of years and the accounting of a hired hand.

25:51  If there be yet many years, according unto them he shall give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

Lv25:51  And if any have a greater number of years than enough, according to these he shall pay his ransom out of his purchase-money.

51  If there will have been many years which remain until the Jubilee, according to these shall he also repay the price.

25:52  And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him; according unto his years shall he give back the price of his redemption.

Lv25:52  And if but a little time be left of the years to the year of release, then shall he reckon to him according to his years, and shall pay his ransom

52  If few, he shall determine the accounting with him according to the number of years, and he shall repay to the buyer by what is left remaining of the years;

25:53  As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him; he shall not rule with rigour over him in thy sight.

Lv25:53  as a hireling; he shall be with him from year to year; thou shalt not oppress him with labour before thee.

53  his wages being charged by what served before. He shall not afflict him violently in your sight.

25:54  And if he be not redeemed by any of these means, then he shall go out in the year of jubilee, he, and his children with him.

Lv25:54  And if he do not pay his ransom accordingly, he shall go out in the year of his release, he and his children with him.

54  But if, by these means, he will not be able to be redeemed, then in the year of the Jubilee he shall depart with his children.

25:55  For unto Me the children of Israel are servants; they are My servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am YHWH your God.

Lv25:55  For the children of Israel are my servants: they are my attendants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt.

55  For they are my servants, the sons of Israel, whom I led away from the land of Egypt.

26:1  Ye shall make you no idols, neither shall ye rear you up a graven image, or a pillar, neither shall ye place any figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it; for I am YHWH your God.

Lv26:1  I am the Lord your God: ye shall not make to yourselves gods made with hands, or graven; neither shall ye rear up a pillar for yourselves, neither shall ye set up a stone for an object in your land to worship it: I am the Lord your God.

1  YOU shall make for yourselves no idols nor graven images, neither shall you erect obelisks for yourselves, nor shall you set up any image of stones in your land to bow down to them or worship them; for I am the LORD your God.

26:2  Ye shall keep My sabbaths, and reverence My sanctuary: I am YHWH.

2  Observe my Sabbaths, and be fearful toward my Sanctuary. I am the Lord.

2  You shall keep my commandments and reverence my sanctuary; I am the LORD.

26:3  If ye walk in My statutes, and keep My commandments, and do them;

Lv26:3  If ye will walk in my ordinances, and keep my commandments, and do them,

3  If you will walk in my precepts, and observe my commandments, and accomplish them, I will give to you rain in its time,

26:4  then I will give your rains in their season, and the land shall yield her produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

4  and the ground shall bring forth its seedlings, and the trees shall be filled again with fruit.

26:5  And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time; and ye shall eat your bread until ye have enough, and dwell in your land safely.

Lv26:5  And your threshing time shall overtake the vintage, and your vintage shall overtake your seed time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full; and ye shall dwell safely upon your land, and war shall not go through your land.

5  The threshing of the harvest shall last until the vintage, and the vintage shall overtake the sowing. And you shall eat your bread to fullness, and you shall live in your land without fear.

26:6  And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; and I will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

Lv26:6  And I will give peace in your land, and ye shall sleep, and none shall make you afraid; and I will destroy the evil beasts out of your land,

6  I will give peace to your most distant regions. You will sleep, and there will be no one to strike you with terror. I will take away harmful wild beasts, and the sword will not cross your borders.

26:7  And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

7  You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall down at the sight of you.

26:8  And five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

8  Five of yours will pursue a hundred foreigners, and a hundred of you will pursue ten thousand. Your enemies will fall by the sword in your sight.

26:9  And I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you; and will establish My covenant with you.

9  I will look with favor upon you, and I will cause you to increase; you will be multiplied, and I will confirm my covenant with you.

26:10  And ye shall eat old store long kept, and ye shall bring forth the old from before the new.

Lv26:10  And ye shall eat that which is old and very old, and bring forth the old to make way for the new.

10  You will eat the oldest of what is old, and, when what is new arrives, you will throw away what is old.

26:11  And I will set My tabernacle among you, and My soul shall not abhor you.

11  I will set my tabernacle in your midst, and my soul will not cast you out.

26:12  And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be My people.

26:13  I am YHWH your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bars of your yoke, and made you go upright.

Lv26:13  I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, where ye were slaves; and I broke the band of your yoke, and brought you forth openly.

26:14  But if ye will not hearken unto Me, and will not do all these commandments;

14  But if you will not listen to me, nor accomplish all of my commandments,

26:15  and if ye shall reject My statutes, and if your soul abhor Mine ordinances, so that ye will not do all My commandments, but break My covenant;

Lv26:15  but disobey them, and your soul should loathe my judgements, so that ye should not keep all my commands, so as to break my covenant,

15  if you despise my laws, and disdain my judgments, so that you do not accomplish those things which have been established by me, and so that you lead my covenant away into nullification,

26:16  I also will do this unto you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall make the eyes to fail, and the soul to languish; and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

Lv26:16  then will I do thus to you: I will even bring upon you perplexity and the itch, and the fever that causes your eyes to waste away, and disease that consumes your life; and ye shall sow your seeds in vain, and your enemies shall eat them.

16  then I also will do these things to you. I will quickly visit you with destitution, and burning heat, which will waste away your eyes, and consume your lives. In vain will you sow your seed, which will be devoured by your enemies.

26:17  And I will set My face against you, and ye shall be smitten before your enemies; they that hate you shall rule over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

17  I will set my face against you, and you will fall down before your enemies, and you will be subjugated to those who hate you. You will flee, though no one pursues.

26:18  And if ye will not yet for these things hearken unto Me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.

18  But if you will not be obedient to me in this way, then I will add sevenfold to your chastisement, because of your sins.

26:19  And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass.

19  And I will crush the pride in your hardness, and I will give to you heaven above like iron, and the earth below like brass.

26:20  And your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield her produce, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.

20  Your labor will be consumed to no purpose; the land will not bring forth seedlings, nor will the trees provide their fruit.

26:21  And if ye walk contrary unto Me, and will not hearken unto Me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

Lv26:21  And if after this ye should walk perversely, and not be willing to obey me, I will further bring upon you seven plagues according to your sins.

21  If you walk as an adversary to me, and if you are not willing to listen to me, I will add sevenfold to your plagues, because of your sins.

26:22  And I will send the beast of the field among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your ways shall become desolate.

Lv26:22  And I will send upon you the wild beasts of the land, and they shall devour you, and shall consume your cattle: and I will make you few in number, and your ways shall be desolate.

22  I will also send wild beasts against you, which shall bereave you of your children and destroy your cattle and make you few in number; and your highways shall be desolate.

26:23  And if in spite of these things ye will not be corrected unto Me, but will walk contrary unto Me;

Lv26:23  And if hereupon ye are not corrected, but walk perversely towards me,

23  But if you are not willing to receive discipline in this way, and you still walk as an adversary to me,

26:24  then will I also walk contrary unto you; and I will smite you, even I, seven times for your sins.

Lv26:24  I also will walk with you with a perverse spirit, and I also will smite you seven times for your sins.

24  likewise, I will advance against you as an adversary, and I will strike you seven times, because of your sins.

26:25  And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute the vengeance of the covenant; and ye shall be gathered together within your cities; and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

Lv26:25  And I will bring upon you a sword avenging the cause of my covenant, and ye shall flee for refuge to your cities; and I will send out death against you, and ye shall be delivered into the hands of your enemies.

25  And I will lead over you the sword that shall avenge my covenant. And when you will have fled into the cities, I will send a pestilence into your midst, and you will be delivered into the hands of your enemies.

26:26  When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver your bread again by weight; and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

Lv26:26  When I afflict you with famine of bread, then ten women shall bake your loaves in one oven, and they shall render your loaves by weight; and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

26  After this, I will have broken the staff of your bread, so that ten women bake bread in one oven, and distribute it by weight. And you shall eat and not be filled.

26:27  And if ye will not for all this hearken unto Me, but walk contrary unto Me;

Lv26:27  And if hereupon ye will not obey me, but walk perversely towards me,

27  Then, if you will not listen to me through these things, and you still walk against me,

26:28  then I will walk contrary unto you in fury; and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.

Lv26:28  then will I walk with you with a froward mind, and I will chasten you seven-fold according to your sins.

28  then I also will advance against you, with an opposing fury, and I will chastise you with seven plagues, because of your sins

26:29  And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

29  so much so that you will eat the flesh of your sons and your daughters.

26:30  And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your sun-pillars, and cast your carcasses upon the carcasses of your idols; and My soul shall abhor you.

Lv26:30  And I will render your pillars desolate, and will utterly destroy your wooden images made with hands; and I will lay your carcases on the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall loathe you.

30  I will destroy your high places, and I will break apart your false images. You will fall among the ruins of your idols, and my soul will abominate you

26:31  And I will make your cities a waste, and will bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.

Lv26:31  And I will lay your cities waste, and I will make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell the savour of your sacrifices.

31  so much so that I will reduce your cities to a wilderness, and I will make your Sanctuaries desolate, and I will no longer accept the most sweet odors.

26:32  And I will bring the land into desolation; and your enemies that dwell therein shall be astonished at it.

Lv26:32  And I will lay your land desolate, and your enemies who dwell in it shall wonder at it.

32  And I will utterly ruin your land, and your enemies shall be stupefied at it, when they will have become its inhabitants.

26:33  And you will I scatter among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you; and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.

26:34  Then shall the land be paid her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye are in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and repay her sabbaths.

Lv26:34  Then the land shall enjoy its sabbaths all the days of its desolation.

34  Then the land will be pleased by her Sabbaths, throughout all the days of her solitude. So, while you will be

26:35  As long as it lieth desolate it shall have rest; even the rest which it had not in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.

Lv26:35  And ye shall be in the land of your enemies; then the land shall keep its sabbaths, and the land shall enjoy its sabbaths all the days of its desolation: it shall keep sabbaths which it kept not among your sabbaths, when ye dwelt in it.

35  in the land of the enemy, she will worship and rest in the Sabbath of her solitude, because she will not have rested in your Sabbaths, when you lived in her.

26:36  And as for them that are left of you, I will send a faintness into their heart in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as one fleeth from the sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

Lv26:36  And to those who are left of you I will bring bondage into their heart in the land of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them, and they shall flee as fleeing from war, and shall fall when none pursues them.

36  And whoever of you will remain, I will send terror into their hearts in the regions of their enemies. The sound of a flying leaf will terrify them, and so they will flee, as if from the sword. They will fall, though no one pursues.

26:37  And they shall stumble one upon another, as it were before the sword, when none pursueth; and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

Lv26:37  And brother shall disregard brother as in war, when none pursues; and ye shall not be able to withstand your enemies.

37  And they will each fall upon their brothers, as if they were fleeing from wars; no one among you will dare to resist your foes.

26:38  And ye shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

38  You will perish among the Gentiles, and the land of the enemy will consume you.

26:39  And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

Lv26:39  And those who are left of you shall perish, because of their sins, and because of the sins of their fathers: in the land of their enemies shall they consume away.

39  But if some few of these still remain, they shall waste away in their iniquities, in the land of their enemies, and they will be afflicted, because of the sins of their fathers and their own sins,

26:40  And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their treachery which they committed against Me, and also that they have walked contrary unto Me.

40  until they confess their iniquities, and those of their ancestors, by which they have transgressed against me and walked as adversaries to me.

26:41  I also will walk contrary unto them, and bring them into the land of their enemies; if then perchance their uncircumcised heart be humbled, and they then be paid the punishment of their iniquity;

Lv26:41  and I walked with them with a perverse mind; and I will destroy them in the land of their enemies: then shall their uncircumcised heart be ashamed, and then shall they acquiesce in the punishment of their sins.

41  Therefore, I also will walk against them, and I will lead them into a hostile land, until their uncircumcised mind shall be ashamed. Then shall they pray on behalf of their impiety.

26:42  then will I remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

Lv26:42  And I will remember the covenant of Jacob, and the covenant of Isaac, and the covenant of Abraam will I remember.

42  And I will remember my covenant, which I formed with Jacob, and Isaac, and Abraham. I will also remember the land,

26:43  For the land shall lie forsaken without them, and shall be paid her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them; and they shall be paid the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they rejected Mine ordinances, and their soul abhorred My statutes.

Lv26:43  And I will remember the land, and the land shall be left of them; then the land shall enjoy her sabbaths, when it is deserted through them: and they shall accept the punishment of their iniquities, because they neglected my judgements, and in their soul loathed my ordinances.

43  which, when she will be left behind by them, shall be pleased by her Sabbaths, enduring solitude because of them. Yet truly, they shall pray for their sins, because they cast aside my judgments, and they despised my laws.

26:44  And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break My covenant with them; for I am YHWH their God.

Lv26:44  And yet not even thus, while they were in the land of their enemies, did I overlook them, nor did I loathe them so as to consume them, to break my covenant made with them; for I am the Lord their God.

44  And even after so much, when they were in the land of their enemy, I did not cast them off entirely, and I did not so despise them that they would be consumed, nor so that I would nullify my covenant with them. For I am the Lord their God.

26:45  But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am YHWH.

Lv26:45  And I will remember their former covenant, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage before the nation, to be their God; I am the Lord.

45  And I will remember my original covenant, when I led them away from the land of Egypt, in the sight of the Gentiles, so as to be their God. I am the Lord. These are the judgments, and precepts, and laws, which the Lord has granted between himself and the sons of Israel, on mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.

26:46  These are the statutes and ordinances and laws, which YHWH made between Him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.

Lv26:46  These are my judgements and my ordinances, and the law which the Lord gave between himself and the children of Israel, in the mount Sina, by the hand of Moses.

27:1  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

Lv27:1  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

27:2  Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: When a man shall clearly utter a vow of persons unto YHWH, according to thy valuation,

Lv27:2  Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Whosoever shall vow a vow as the valuation of his soul for the Lord,

2  Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: The man who will have made a vow and espoused his soul to God shall give the price according to the estimation.

27:3  then thy valuation shall be for the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

Lv27:3  the valuation of a male from twenty years old to sixty years old shall be—his valuation shall be fifty didrachms of silver by the standard of the sanctuary.

3  If it is a male from twenty years to sixty years, he shall give fifty shekels of silver, by the measure of the Sanctuary;

27:4  And if it be a female, then thy valuation shall be thirty shekels.

Lv27:4  And the valuation of a female shall be thirty didrachms.

4  if it is a woman, thirty.

27:5  And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy valuation shall be for the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

5  But from the fifth year until the twentieth, a male shall give twenty shekels; a female, ten.

27:6  And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy valuation shall be for the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy valuation shall be three shekels of silver.

Lv27:6  And from a month old to five years old, the valuation of a male shall be five didrachms, and of a female, three didrachms of silver.

6  From one month until the fifth year, for a male, five shekels shall be given; for a female, three.

27:7  And if it be from sixty years old and upward: if it be a male, then thy valuation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

Lv27:7  And if from sixty year old and upward, if it be a male, his valuation shall be fifteen didrachms of silver, and if a female, ten didrachms.

7  At sixty years and beyond, a male shall give fifteen shekels; a female, ten.

27:8  But if he be too poor for thy valuation, then he shall be set before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to the means of him that vowed shall the priest value him.

Lv27:8  And if the man be too poor for the valuation, he shall stand before the priest; and the priest shall value him: according to what the man who has vowed can afford, the priest shall value him.

8  If he is poor, and he does not have the means to pay the estimation, he shall stand before the priest, and however much he will value him and see that he is able to pay, so much shall he give.

27:9  And if it be a beast, whereof men bring an offering unto YHWH, all that any man giveth of such unto the YHWH shall be holy.

Lv27:9  And if it be from the cattle that are offered as a gift to the Lord, whoever shall offer one of these to the Lord, it shall be holy.

9  But an animal which could be immolated to the Lord, if anyone has vowed it, shall be holy,

27:10  He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good; and if he shall at all change beast for beast, then both it and that for which it is changed shall be holy.

Lv27:10  He shall not change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good; and if he do at all change it, a beast for a beast, it and the substitute shall be holy.

10  and it cannot be exchanged, that is, neither better for worse, nor worse for better. And if he has exchanged it, both that which was exchanged, and that for which it was exchanged shall be consecrated to the Lord.

27:11  And if it be any unclean beast, of which they may not bring an offering unto YHWH, then he shall set the beast before the priest.

11  An unclean animal which could not be sacrificed to the Lord, if anyone has vowed it, shall be led before the priest,

11  And if it is an unclean animal of which they do not offer a sacrifice to the LORD, then he shall present the animal before the priest;

27:12  And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad; as thou the priest valuest it, so shall it be.

Lv27:12  And the priest shall make a valuation between the good and the bad, and accordingly as the priest shall value it, so shall it stand.

12  who, judging whether it is either good or bad, shall set the price.

27:13  But if he will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part thereof unto thy valuation.

Lv27:13  And if the worshipper will at all redeem it, he shall add the fifth part to its value.

13  But if he who offers it was willing to give, he shall add a fifth part above the estimation.

27:14  And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto YHWH, then the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad; as the priest shall value it, so shall it stand.

Lv27:14  And whatsoever man shall consecrate his house as holy to the Lord, the priest shall make a valuation of it between the good and the bad: as the priest shall value it, so shall it stand.

14  If a man has vowed his house, and he has sanctified it to the Lord, the priest shall examine it, whether it is good or bad, and it shall be sold according to the price which he will have established.

27:15  And if he that sanctified it will redeem his house, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy valuation unto it, and it shall be his.

15  But if he who vowed it was willing to redeem it, he shall give a fifth part beyond the estimation, and he shall have the house.

27:16  And if a man shall sanctify unto YHWH part of the field of his possession, then thy valuation shall be according to the sowing thereof; the sowing of a homer of barley shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.

Lv27:16  And if a man should hallow to the Lord a part of the field of his possession, then the valuation shall be according to its seed, fifty didrachms of silver for a homer of barley.

16  But if he has vowed a field of his possession, and has consecrated it to the Lord, the price shall be estimated according to the measure of the seed. If the land would be sown with thirty measures of barley, then let it be sold for fifty shekels of silver.

27:17  If he sanctify his field from the year of jubilee, according to thy valuation it shall stand.

Lv27:17  And if he should sanctify his field from the year of release, it shall stand according to his valuation.

27:18  But if he sanctify his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain unto the year of jubilee, and an abatement shall be made from thy valuation.

Lv27:18  And if he should sanctify his field in the latter time after the release, the priest shall reckon to him the money for the remaining years, until the next year of release, and it shall be deducted as an equivalent from his full valuation.

18  But if, after some amount of time, the priest shall evaluate the money according to the number of years that remain until the Jubilee, then the price shall be reduced.

27:19  And if he that sanctified the field will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy valuation unto it, and it shall be assured to him.

19  But if he who had vowed it, was willing to redeem his field, he shall add a fifth part of the money to the estimation, and then he shall possess it.

19  And if the man who sanctifies the field wishes to redeem it, then he shall add a fifth of the money of the valuation to it, and it shall be his.

27:20  And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more.

Lv27:20  And if he do not redeem the field, but should sell the field to another man, he shall not after redeem it.

20  But if he is not willing to redeem it, then it shall be sold to any other; he who vowed it is no longer able to redeem it.

27:21  But the field, when it goeth out in the jubilee, shall be holy unto YHWH, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest's.

Lv27:21  But the field shall be holy to the Lord after the release, as separated land; the priest shall have possession of it.

21  For when the day of Jubilee arrives, it shall be sanctified to the Lord. And as a possession that has been consecrated, it rightfully belongs to the priest.

27:22  And if he sanctify unto YHWH a field which he hath bought, which is not of the field of his possession;

22  If a field has been bought, and it is not from the possession of ancestors, it shall be sanctified to the Lord.

27:23  then the priest shall reckon unto him the worth of thy valuation unto the year of jubilee; and he shall give thy valuation in that day, as a holy thing unto YHWH.

Lv27:23  the priest shall reckon to him the full valuation from the year of release, and he shall pay the valuation in that day as holy to the Lord.

23  The priest shall evaluate the price according to the number of years until the Jubilee; and the one who had vowed it shall give to the Lord.

27:24  In the year of jubilee the field shall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the possession of the land belongeth.

Lv27:24  And in the year of release the land shall be restored to the man of whom the other bought it, whose the possession of the land was.

24  Then, in the Jubilee, it shall be returned to the former owner, the one who had sold it and who had held it within the lot of his possession.

27:25  And all thy valuations shall be according to the shekel of the sanctuary; twenty gerahs shall be the shekel.

Lv27:25  And every valuation shall be by holy weights: the didrachm shall be twenty oboli.

25  All estimation shall be weighed according to the shekel of the Sanctuary. A shekel has twenty obols.

27:26  Howbeit the firstling among beasts, which is born as a firstling to YHWH, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox or sheep, it is the YHWH'S.

Lv27:26  And every first-born which shall be produced among thy cattle shall be the Lord’s, and no man shall sanctify it: whether calf or sheep, it is the Lord’s.

26  The firstborn, which belong to the Lord, no one is able to sanctify or vow, whether it is an ox, or a sheep, they are for the Lord.

27:27  And if it be of an unclean beast, then he shall ransom it according to thy valuation, and shall add unto it the fifth part thereof; or if it be not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to thy valuation.

Lv27:27  But if he should redeem an unclean beast, according to its valuation, then he shall add the fifth part to it, and it shall be his; and if he redeem it not, it shall be sold according to its valuation.

27  But if it is an unclean animal, whoever offers it shall redeem it, according to your estimation, and he shall add a fifth part to the price. If he is not willing to redeem it, it shall be sold to another for whatever amount it was estimated by you.

27:28  Notwithstanding, no devoted thing, that a man may devote unto YHWH of all that he hath, whether of man or beast, or of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy unto the YHWH.

Lv27:28  And every dedicated thing which a man shall dedicate to the Lord of all that he has, whether man or beast, or of the field of his possession, he shall not sell it, nor redeem it: every devoted thing shall be most holy to the Lord.

27:29  None devoted, that may be devoted of men, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.

29  Every devoted thing which shall be devoted by men shall not be redeemed, but shall surely be put to death.

27:30  And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is YHWH'S; it is holy unto the YHWH.

Lv27:30  Every tithe of the land, both of the seed of the land, and of the fruit of trees, is the Lord’s, holy to the Lord.

30  All the tithes of the land, whether from the grain, or from the fruits of trees, are for the Lord and are sanctified to him.

27:31  And if a man will redeem aught of his tithe, he shall add unto it the fifth part thereof.

Lv27:31  And if a man should at all redeem his tithe, he shall add the fifth part to it, and it shall be his.

31  But if anyone is willing to redeem his tithes, he shall add a fifth part to them.

27:32  And all the tithe of the herd or the flock, whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto YHWH.

Lv27:32  And every tithe of oxen, and of sheep, and whatsoever may come in numbering under the rod, the tenth shall be holy to the Lord.

32  Out of all the tithes of oxen, and sheep, and goats, which cross under the rod of the shepherd, every tenth one that arrives shall be sanctified to the Lord.

27:33  He shall not inquire whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it; and if he change it at all, then both it and that for which it is changed shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.

Lv27:33  Thou shalt not change a good for a bad, or a bad for a good; and if thou shouldest at all change it, its equivalent also shall be holy, it shall not be redeemed.

33  It shall not be chosen by what is good or bad; neither shall it be exchanged for another. If anyone has exchanged it, both that which was exchanged, and that for which it was exchanged, shall be sanctified to the Lord and shall not be redeemed.

27:34  These are the commandments, which YHWH commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai.
