After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do; and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do; neither shall ye walk in their statutes.

Lv18:3  Ye shall not do according to the devices of Egypt, in which ye dwelt: and according to the devices of the land of Chanaan, into which I bring you, ye shall not do; and ye shall not walk in their ordinances.

You shall not act according to the custom of the land of Egypt, in which you have lived; nor shall you behave according to the habit of the region of Canaan, into which I will lead you; neither shall you walk in their ordinances.

Mine ordinances shall ye do, and My statutes shall ye keep, to walk therein: I am YHWH your God.

You shall accomplish my judgments, and you shall observe my precepts, and you shall walk in them. I am the Lord your God.

But you shall do my judgments and keep my commandments and walk in them; I am the LORD your God.

Ye shall therefore keep My statutes, and Mine ordinances, which if a man do, he shall live by them: I am YHWH.

Lv18:5  So ye shall keep all my ordinances, and all my judgements, and do them; which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord your God.

Keep my laws and judgments; when a man does these, he shall live by them. I am the Lord.

None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness. I am YHWH.

Lv18:6  No man shall draw nigh to any of his near kindred to uncover their nakedness; I am the Lord.

No man shall approach her who is a close blood-relative to him, so as to uncover her nakedness. I am the Lord.

The nakedness of thy father, and the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

You shall not expose the nakedness of your father, or the nakedness of your mother. She is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness.

You shall not shame your father by approaching your mother; she is your mother, you shall not uncover her nakedness.

The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

You shall not expose the nakedness of your father’s wife; for it is the nakedness of your father.

You shall not approach your father's wife; it is your father's nakedness.

14  You shall not put to shame your father's brother; you shall not approach his wife: for she is your aunt, you shall not uncover her nakedness.

15  Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter-in-law: she is thy son' wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

15  You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law, for she is your son’s wife; neither shall you expose her dishonor.

15  You shall not approach your daughter-in-law; for she is your son's wife; you shall not uncover tier nakedness.

16  Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.

16  You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; for it is the nakedness of your brother.

16  You shall not approach your brother's wife; it is your brother's nakedness.

17  Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter; thou shalt not take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness: they are near kinswomen; it is lewdness.

17  You shall not uncover the nakedness of your wife and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, so as to uncover her dishonor; for they are her flesh, and such sexual intercourse is incest.

18  And thou shalt not take a woman to her sister, to be a rival to her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her lifetime.

Lv18:18  Thou shalt not take a wife in addition to her sister, as a rival, to uncover her nakedness in opposition to her, while she is yet living.

18  You shall not take your wife’s sister as a rival mistress; nor shall you uncover her nakedness, while your wife is still living.

19  And thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.

19  You shall not approach a woman who is undergoing menstruation, nor shall you uncover her foulness.

21  And thou shalt not give any of thy seed to set them apart to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am YHWH.

21  You shall not give some of your seed to be consecrated to the idol Moloch, nor to pollute the name of your God. I am the Lord.

21  You shall not let any of your semen be cast into a strange woman to cause her to be pregnant; neither shall you profane the name of your God; I am the LORD.

22  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination.

22  You shall not commit sexual acts with a male, in place of sexual intercourse with a female, for this is an abomination.

23  And thou shalt not lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith; neither shall any woman stand before a beast, to lie down thereto; it is perversion.

23  You shall not commit sexual acts with any animal, nor shall you be defiled by it. A woman shall not lie down with a beast, nor commit sexual acts with it; for this is wickedness.

24  Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things; for in all these the nations are defiled, which I cast out from before you.

Lv18:24  Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for in all these things the nations are defiled, which I drive out before you,

24  Do not pollute yourselves with any of these things, by which all of the nations, which I will cast out in your sight, have been contaminated

25  And the land was defiled, therefore I did visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.

Lv18:25  and the land is polluted; and I have recompensed their iniquity to them because of it, and the land is aggrieved with them that dwell upon it.

25  and by which the land has been polluted. I will visit the wickedness of the land, so that it may vomit out its inhabitants.

26  Ye therefore shall keep My statutes and Mine ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the home-born, nor the stranger that sojourneth among you--

27  for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land is defiled--

27  For all these detestable things were done by the inhabitants of the land who were here before you, and they have polluted it.

28  that the land vomit not you out also, when ye defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

Lv18:28  and lest the land be aggrieved with you in your polluting it, as it was aggrieved with the nations before you.

28  Therefore, beware, lest in a similar manner, it may vomit you out as well, if you do these same things, just as it vomited out the people who were before you.

29  For whosoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.

29  Every soul who shall commit any of these abominations shall perish from the midst of his people.

30  Therefore shall ye keep My charge, that ye do not any of these abominable customs, which were done before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am YHWH your God.

Lv18:30  And ye shall keep mine ordinances, that ye may not do any of the abominable practices, which have taken place before your time: and ye shall not be polluted in them; for I am the Lord your God.

30  Keep my commandments. Do not be willing to do the things which have been done by those who were before you, and do not be polluted by these things. I am the Lord your God.

19:2  Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them: Ye shall be holy; for I YHWH your God am holy.

Lv19:2  Speak to the congregation of the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Ye shall be holy; for I the Lord your God am holy.

Speak to the entire assembly of the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: Be holy, for I, the Lord your God, am holy.

19:3  Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and ye shall keep My sabbaths: I am YHWH your God.

Lv19:3  Let every one of you reverence his father and his mother; and ye shall keep my sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.

19:4  Turn ye not unto the idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am YHWH your God.

Lv19:4  Ye shall not follow idols, and ye shall not make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

Do not be willing to convert to idols, neither should you make molten gods for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.

19:5  And when ye offer a sacrifice of peace-offerings unto YHWH, ye shall offer it that ye may be accepted.

Lv19:5  And if ye will sacrifice a peace-offering to the Lord, ye shall offer it acceptable from yourselves.

If you immolate a victim of peace offerings to the Lord, so that he may be appeased,

19:6  It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow; and if aught remain until the third day, it shall be burnt with fire.

Lv19:6  In what day soever ye shall sacrifice it, it shall be eaten; and on the following day, and if any of it should be left till the third day, it shall be thoroughly burnt with fire.

you shall eat it on the same day as when it was immolated, and the next day. Then whatever will remain on the third day you shall burn with fire.

19:7  And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is a vile thing; it shall not be accepted.

If anyone, after two days, will have eaten from it, he shall be profane and guilty of impiety.

19:8  But every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the holy thing of YHWH; and that soul shall be cut off from his people.

And he shall bear his iniquity, for he has polluted what is holy to the Lord. And that soul shall perish from his people.

19:9  And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corner of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleaning of thy harvest.

When you will have harvested the grain fields of your land, you shall not cut it down to the surface of the land, even to the ground, nor shall you gather the remaining ears of grain.

19:10  And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather the fallen fruit of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am YHWH your God.

10  Neither shall you gather the clusters or individual grapes which fall down in your vineyard, but you shall leave them for paupers and travelers to take. I am the Lord your God.

10  And you shall not glean your vineyards, neither shall you gather that which is fallen from your olive trees, but you shall leave them for the poor and the proselytes; for I am the LORD your God.

19:11  Ye shall not steal; neither shall ye deal falsely, nor lie one to another.

Lv19:11  Ye shall not steal, ye shall not lie, neither shall one bear false witness as an informer against his neighbour.

11  You shall not steal. You shall not lie. Neither shall anyone deceive his neighbor.

19:12  And ye shall not swear by My name falsely, so that thou profane the name of thy God: I am YHWH.

12  You shall not commit perjury in my name, nor shall you pollute the name of your God. I am the Lord.

12  You shall not swear by my name falsely and so profane the name of your God; I am the LORD.

19:13  Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbour, nor rob him; the wages of a hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

13  You shall not slander your neighbor, nor shall you oppress him by violence. The wages of a hired hand, you shall not delay with you until tomorrow.

13  You shall not oppress your neighbor, neither carry him away by force; the wages of him who is hired shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

19:14  Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling-block before the blind, but thou shalt fear thy God: I am YHWH.

14  You shall not speak evil of the deaf, nor shall you place a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear the Lord your God, for I am the Lord.

19:15  Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor favour the person of the mighty; but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

15  You shall not do what is unjust, nor shall you judge unjustly. You shall not consider the reputation of the poor, nor shall you honor the countenance of the powerful. Judge your neighbor justly.

19:16  Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people; neither shalt thou stand idly by the blood of thy neighbour: I am YHWH.

16  You shall not be a detractor, nor a whisperer, among the people. You shall not stand against the blood of your neighbor. I am the Lord.

19:17  Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart; thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbour, and not bear sin because of him.

17  You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but reprove him openly, lest you have sin over him.

19:18  Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am YHWH.

18  Do not seek revenge, neither should you be mindful of the injury of your fellow citizens. You shall love your friend as yourself. I am the Lord.

19:19  Ye shall keep My statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind; thou shalt not sow thy field with two kinds of seed; neither shall there come upon thee a garment of two kinds of stuff mingled together.

19  Observe my laws. You shall not cause your cattle to breed with other kinds of animals. You shall not sow your field with diverse seeds. You shall not be clothed with a garment which has been woven from two things.

19  You shall keep my statutes. You shall not let your cattle breed with a diverse kind; you shall not sow your field with mixed seed; neither shall you wear a mantle made of mixed materials.

19:20  And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, designated for a man, and not at all redeemed, nor was freedom given her; there shall be inquisition; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

Lv19:20  And if any one lie carnally with a woman, and she should be a home-servant kept for a man, and she has not been ransomed, and her freedom has not been given to her, they shall be visited with punishment; but they shall not die, because she was not set at liberty.

20  If a man will have slept in sexual intercourse with a woman, who is a servant and who is also able to be married, and yet he has not redeemed her with a price, nor paid to set her free, they both shall be beaten, but they shall not die, for she was not a free woman.

19:21  And he shall bring his forfeit unto YHWH, unto the door of the tent of meeting, even a ram for a guilt-offering.

Lv19:21  And he shall bring for his trespass to the Lord to the door of the tabernacle of witness, a ram for a trespass-offering.

21  But, for his offense, he shall offer a ram to the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

19:22  And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt-offering before YHWH for his sin which he hath sinned; and he shall be forgiven for his sin which he hath sinned.

22  And the priest shall pray for him, and for his sin, before the Lord, and he shall win his favor again for him, and the sin shall be forgiven.

19:23  And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as forbidden; three years shall it be as forbidden unto you; it shall not be eaten.

Lv19:23  And whenever ye shall enter into the land which the Lord your God gives you, and shall plant any fruit-tree, then shall ye purge away its uncleanness; its fruit shall be three years uncleansed to you, it shall not be eaten.

23  When you will have entered into the land, and will have planted in it fruit trees, you shall take away their first-fruits; the fruit that germinates shall be unclean to you, neither shall you eat from these.

19:24  And in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy, for giving praise unto YHWH.

24  But in the fourth year, all their fruit shall be sanctified for the praise of the Lord.

19:25  But in the fifth year may ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you more richly the increase thereof: I am YHWH your God.

Lv19:25  And in the fifth year ye shall eat the fruit, its produce is an increase to you. I am the Lord your God.

19:26  Ye shall not eat with the blood; neither shall ye practise divination nor soothsaying.

Lv19:26  Eat not on the mountains, nor shall ye employ auguries, nor divine by inspection of birds.

26  You shall not eat with blood. You shall not practice divination, nor the observation of dreams.

19:27  Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

Lv19:27  Ye shall not make a round cutting of the hair of your head, nor disfigure your beard.

27  And you shall not cut the hair of your head circularly, nor shave your beard.

19:28  Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor imprint any marks upon you: I am YHWH.

Lv19:28  And ye shall not make cuttings in your body for a dead body, and ye shall not inscribe on yourselves any marks. I am the Lord your God.

28  You shall not cut your flesh for the dead, and you shall not make other figures or marks on yourself. I am the Lord.

19:29  Profane not thy daughter, to make her a harlot, lest the land fall into harlotry, and the land become full of lewdness.

Lv19:29  Thou shalt not profane thy daughter to prostitute her; so the land shall not go a whoring, and the land be filled with iniquity.

29  Do not prostitute your daughter, lest the land be contaminated and filled with crimes.

19:30  Ye shall keep My sabbaths, and reverence My sanctuary: I am YHWH.

30  Observe my Sabbaths, and be apprehensive toward my Sanctuary. I am the Lord.

30  You shall keep my commandments and reverence my sanctuary; I am the LORD.

19:31  Turn ye not unto the ghosts, nor unto familiar spirits; seek them not out, to be defiled by them: I am YHWH your God.

Lv19:31  Ye shall not attend to those who have in them divining spirits, nor attach yourselves to enchanters, to pollute yourselves with them: I am the Lord your God.

19:32  Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and thou shalt fear thy God: I am YHWH.

32  Rise up in the presence of a gray-haired head, and honor the reputation of an elder, and fear the Lord your God. I am the Lord.

32  You shall rise up before an elder and honor the person who is older than you and revere your God; I am the LORD your God.

19:33  And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not do him wrong.

33  If a newcomer lives in your land and abides among you, do not reproach him,

19:34  The stranger that sojourneth with you shall be unto you as the home-born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am YHWH your God.

34  but let him be among you like one native born. And you shall love him as yourselves. For you were also newcomers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

19:35  Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

35  Do not be willing to accomplish iniquity in judgment, in lengths, in weights, in quantities.

35  You shall do no injustices in judgment, in balances, in weight, or in measure.

19:36  Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am YHWH your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

Lv19:36  There shall be among you just balances and just weights and just liquid measure. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

36  Let the scales be just and the weights equal, let the dry measure be just and the liquid measure be equal. I am the Lord your God, who led you away from the land of Egypt.

19:37  And ye shall observe all My statutes, and all Mine ordinances, and do them: I am YHWH.

37  Keep all my precepts, and all my judgments, and accomplish them. I am the Lord.

Lv20:1  And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

20:2  Moreover, thou shalt say to the children of Israel: Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

You shall speak these things to the sons of Israel: A man among the sons Israel, or among the newcomers who live in Israel, if he will have given from his seed to the idol Moloch, he shall be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him.

20:3  I also will set My face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people, because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile My sanctuary, and to profane My holy name.

Lv20:3  And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from his people, because he has given of his seed to Moloch, to defile my sanctuary, and profane the name of them that are consecrated to me.

And I will pour out my anger against that man and will cut him off from among his people; because he has cast his semen into an alien woman to defile my sanctuary and to profane my holy name.

20:4  And if the people of the land do at all hide their eyes from that man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and put him not to death;

Lv20:4  And if the natives of the land should in anywise overlook that man in giving of his seed to Moloch, so as not to put him to death;

But if the people of the land, having been neglectful and holding little regard for my authority, release the man who has given from his seed to Moloch, and they are not willing to kill him,

20:5  then I will set My face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go astray after him, to go astray after Molech, from among their people.

Lv20:5  then will I set my face against that man and his family, and I will destroy him, and all who have been of one mind with him, so that he should go a whoring to the princes, from their people.

I will set my face over that man and over his kindred, and I will cut down both him and all who consented with him to fornicate with Moloch, from the midst of their people.

20:6  And the soul that turneth unto the ghosts, and unto the familiar spirits, to go astray after them, I will even set My face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

The soul who will have turned aside to astrologers and soothsayers, and who will have fornicated with them, I will set my face against him, and I will destroy him from the midst of his people.

And the person that goes after diviners and soothsayers to go astray after them, I will pour out my anger against that person and will cut him off from among his people.

20:7  Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am YHWH your God.

Lv20:7  And ye shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.

Be sanctified and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.

20:8  And keep ye My statutes, and do them: I am YHWH who sanctify you.

Observe my precepts, and do them. I am the Lord, who sanctifies you.

20:9  For whatsoever man there be that curseth his father or his mother shall surely be put to death; he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

Lv20:9  Every man who shall speak evil of his father or of his mother, let him die the death; has he spoken evil of his father or his mother? he shall be guilty.

Whoever curses his father or mother shall die a death; he has cursed his father and mother. So let his blood be upon him.

20:10  And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Lv20:10  Whatever man shall commit adultery with the wife of a man, or whoever shall commit adultery with the wife of his neighbour, let them die the death, the adulterer and the adulteress.

10  If anyone will have committed sexual acts with the wife of another, or will have perpetrated adultery with his neighbor’s spouse, they shall die a death, both the adulterer and the adulteress.

Lv20:17  Whosoever shall take his sister by his father or by his mother, and shall see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness, it is a reproach: they shall be destroyed before the children of their family; he has uncovered his sister’s nakedness, they shall bear their sin.

17  Whoever will have taken his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother, and will have seen her nakedness, and she will have looked upon her brother’s shame, they have committed a nefarious act. 20:18  And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness--he hath made naked her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood--both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

Lv20:18  And whatever man shall lie with a woman that is set apart for a flux, and shall uncover her nakedness, he has uncovered her fountain, and she has uncovered the flux of her blood: they shall both be destroyed from among their generation.

18  Whoever has sexual intercourse with a woman in her menstrual flow, and has uncovered her nakedness, and she has opened the fountain of her blood, both shall be destroyed from the midst of their people.

14  Whoever, through ignorance, eats from what has been sanctified shall add a fifth part to that which he ate, and he shall give it to the priest at the Sanctuary.

Lv22:21  And whatsoever man shall offer a peace-offering to the Lord, discharging a vow, or in the way of free-will-offering, or an offering in your feasts, of the herds or of the sheep, it shall be without blemish for acceptance: there shall be no blemish in it.

21  The man who will have offered a victim of peace offerings to the Lord, either fulfilling his vows or offering spontaneously, whether of oxen, or of sheep, shall offer what is immaculate, so that it may be acceptable. There shall be no blemish in it.

22:23  Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing too long or too short, that mayest thou offer for a freewill-offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

Lv22:23  And a calf or a sheep with the ears cut off, or that has lost its tail, thou shalt slay them for thyself; but they shall not be accepted for thy vow.

23  An ox or a sheep, having an amputated ear or tail, you are able to offer voluntarily, but a vow is not able to be fulfilled by these.

25  From the hand of a foreigner, you shall not offer bread to your God, nor anything else that he would choose to give; for all this has been corrupted and blemished. You shall not accept them.

22:26  And YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying

22:27  When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; but from the eighth day and thenceforth it may be accepted for an offering made by fire unto YHWH.

27  An ox, a sheep, or a goat, when they have been born, shall be under the udder of their mother for seven days. But on the eighth day and thereafter, they are able to be offered to the Lord.

22:28  And whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill it and its young both in one day.

Lv22:28  And a bullock and a ewe, it and its young, thou shalt not kill in one day.

28  Whether it is an ox, or a sheep, they shall not be immolated on the same day with their newborns.

22:29  And when ye sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto YHWH, ye shall sacrifice it that ye may be accepted.

Lv22:29  And if thou shouldest offer a sacrifice, a vow of rejoicing to the Lord, ye shall offer it so as to be accepted for you.

29  If you immolate a victim as an act of thanksgiving to the Lord, so that he may be pleased,

22:30  On the same day it shall be eaten; ye shall leave none of it until the morning: I am YHWH.

Lv22:30  In that same day it shall be eaten; ye shall not leave of the flesh till the morrow: I am the Lord.

30  you shall eat it on the same day; none of it shall remain until morning on the next day. I am the Lord.

33  and who led you away from the land of Egypt, so that I may be to you as God. I am the Lord.
