'Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bullock of the sin-offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread;

Take Aaron, with his sons, their vestments, and the oil of anointing, a calf for sin, two rams, and a basket with unleavened bread,

and assemble thou all the congregation at the door of the tent of meeting.'

and gather together all the assembly at the door of the tabernacle.

And Moses did as YHWH commanded him; and the congregation was assembled at the door of the tent of meeting.

And Moses did as the Lord had commanded. And when all the crowd was gathered together before the entrance of the tabernacle,

And Moses said unto the congregation: 'This is the thing which YHWH hath commanded to be done.'

Lv8:5  And Moses said to the congregation, This is the thing which the Lord has commanded you to do.

he said: “This is the word that the Lord has ordered to be done.”

And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.

And immediately, he brought forward Aaron and his sons. And when he had washed them,

And he put upon him the tunic, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the skilfully woven band of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith.

Lv8:7  and put on him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the tunic, and put on him the ephod;

he vested the high priest with the linen undergarment, wrapped him with the wide belt, and clothed him with the hyacinth tunic, and over it he imposed the ephod.

And he placed the breastplate upon him; and in the breastplate he put the Urim and the Thummim.

Lv8:8  and girded him with a girdle according to the make of the ephod, and clasped him closely with it: and put upon it the oracle, and put upon the oracle the Manifestation and the Truth.

And tying it to the belt, he fitted it to the breastplate, on which was Doctrine and Truth.

And he set the mitre upon his head; and upon the mitre, in front, did he set the golden plate, the holy crown; as YHWH commanded Moses.

Also, he wrapped the headdress on his head, and over it, opposite the forehead, he placed the plate of gold, consecrated with sanctification, just as the Lord had instructed him.

10  And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them.

Lv8:10  And Moses took of the anointing oil,

10  He also took up the oil of anointing, with which he anointed the tabernacle, along with all of its articles.

11  And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all its vessels, and the laver and its base, to sanctify them.

Lv8:11  and sprinkled of it seven times on the altar; and anointed the altar, and hallowed it, and all things on it, and the laver, and its foot, and sanctified them; and anointed the tabernacle and all its furniture, and hallowed it.

11  And when he had sprinkled the altar seven times to sanctify it, he anointed it and all its vessels. And the washtub with its base he sanctified with the oil.

12  And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

Lv8:12  And Moses poured of the anointing oil on the head of Aaron; and he anointed him and sanctified him.

12  And pouring the oil over Aaron’s head, he anointed and consecrated him.

13  And Moses brought Aaron's sons, and clothed them with tunics, and girded them with girdles, and bound head-tires upon them; as YHWH commanded Moses.

Lv8:13  And Moses brought the sons of Aaron near, and put on them coast and girded them with girdles, and put on them bonnets, as the Lord commanded Moses.

13  Likewise, after he had offered his sons, he vested them with linen tunics, and wrapped them with wide belts, and placed headdresses on them, just as the Lord had ordered.

14  And the bullock of the sin-offering was brought; and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock of the sin-offering.

Lv8:14  And Moses brought near the calf for the sin-offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the calf of the sin-offering.

14  He also offered the calf for sin. And when Aaron and his sons had placed their hands upon its head,

15  And when it was slain, Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured out the remaining blood at the base of the altar, and sanctified it, to make atonement for it.

15  he immolated it. And drawing the blood, and dipping his finger in it, he touched the horns of the altar all around. And when it was expiated and sanctified, he poured out the remainder of the blood at its base.

15  And he killed it; and Moses took some of the blood with his finger and sprinkled it upon the horns of the altar round about and purified the altar, and the rest of the blood he poured at the base of the altar and sanctified it to make atonement for it.

16  And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses made it smoke upon the altar.

Lv8:16  And Moses took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the lobe on the liver, and both the kidneys, and the fat that was upon them, and Moses offered them on the altar.

16  Yet truly, the fat which was on the vital organs, and the mesh of the liver, and the two little kidneys with their fat, he burned upon the altar.

17  But the bullock, and its skin, and its flesh, and its dung, were burnt with fire without the camp; as YHWH commanded Moses.

17  And the calf with the skin, and the flesh, and the dung, he burned beyond the camp, just as the Lord had instructed.

18  And the ram of the burnt-offering was presented; and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

Lv8:18  And Moses brought near the ram for a whole-burnt-offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. And Moses slew the ram: and Moses poured the blood on the altar round about.

18  He also offered a ram as a holocaust. And when Aaron and his sons had imposed their hands upon its head,

19  And when it was killed, Moses dashed the blood against the altar round about.

Lv8:19  And he divided the ram by its limbs, and Moses offered the head, and the limbs, and the fat; and he washed the belly and the feet with water.

19  he immolated it, and he poured out its blood around the altar.

20  And when the ram was cut into its pieces, Moses made the head, and the pieces, and the suet smoke.

Lv8:20  And Moses offered up the whole ram on the altar: it is a whole-burnt-offering for a sweet-smelling savour; it is a burnt-offering to the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.

20  And cutting the ram into pieces, he burned its head, and the limbs, and the fat in the fire,

21  And when the inwards and the legs were washed with water, Moses made the whole ram smoke upon the altar; it was a burnt- offering for a sweet savour; it was an offering made by fire unto YHWH; as the YHWH commanded Moses.

Lv8:21  And Moses brought the second ram, the ram of consecration, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram, and he slew him;

21  having first washed the intestines and the feet. And then he burned the whole of the ram upon the altar, because it was a holocaust of most sweet odor to the Lord, just as he had instructed him.

22  And the other ram was presented, the ram of consecration, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

Lv8:22  and Moses took of his blood, and put it upon the tip of Aaron’s right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.

22  He also offered the second ram, as a consecration of priests. And Aaron and his sons placed their hands upon its head.

23  And when it was slain, Moses took of the blood thereof, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

Lv8:23  And Moses brought near the sons of Aaron; and Moses put of the blood on the tips of their right ears, and on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the great toes of their right feet, and Moses poured out the blood on the altar round about.

23  And when Moses had immolated it, taking up some of its blood, he touched the tip of Aaron’s right ear, and the thumb of his right hand, and similarly also his foot.

24  And Aaron's sons were brought, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot; and Moses dashed the blood against the altar round about.

Lv8:24  And he took the fat, and the rump, and the fat on the belly, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and the right shoulder.

24  He also offered the sons of Aaron. And when, from the blood of the ram which was immolated, he had touched the tip of the right ear of each one, and the thumbs of their right hands, as well as their feet, he poured out the remainder upon the altar all around.

25  And he took the fat, and the fat tail, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right thigh.

Lv8:25  And from the basket of consecration, which was before the Lord, he also took one unleavened loaf, and one loaf made with oil, and one cake; and put them upon the fat, and the right shoulder

25  Yet truly, the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that covers the intestines, and the mesh of the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat, and the right shoulder, he separated.

26  And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before YHWH, he took one unleavened cake, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and placed them on the fat, and upon the right thigh.

Lv8:26  and put them all on the hands of Aaron, and upon the hands of his sons, and offered them up for a wave-offering before the Lord.

26  Then, taking bread without leaven from the basket of unleavened bread, which was before the Lord, and a cake sprinkled with oil, and a wafer, he placed them upon the fat and the right shoulder,

27  And he put the whole upon the hands of Aaron, and upon the hands of his sons, and waved them for a wave-offering before YHWH.

Lv8:27  And Moses took them at their hands, and Moses offered them on the altar, on the whole-burnt-offering of consecration, which is a smell of sweet savour: it is a burnt-offering to the Lord.

27  delivering all these to Aaron and his sons. And when they had lifted them up in the sight of the Lord,

28  And Moses took them from off their hands, and made them smoke on the altar upon the burnt-offering; they were a consecration-offering for a sweet savour; it was an offering made by fire unto YHWH.

Lv8:28  And Moses took the breast, and separated it for a heave-offering before the Lord, from the ram of consecration; and it became Moses’ portion, as the Lord commanded Moses.

28  he received them again from their hands, and he burned them upon the altar of holocaust, because it was an oblation of consecration, as a sweet odor of sacrifice to the Lord.

29  And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave-offering before YHWH; it was Moses' portion of the ram of consecration; as the YHWH commanded Moses.

Lv8:29  And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood that was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aaron, and on his garments, and his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.

29  And he took his portion from the ram of consecration, and he lifted up its breast in the sight of the Lord, just as the Lord had instructed him.

30  And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons' garments with him, and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.

Lv8:30  And he sanctified Aaron and his garments, and his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.

30  And taking up the ointment, and the blood that was on the altar, he sprinkled it over Aaron and his vestments, and over his sons and their vestments.

31  And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons: 'Boil the flesh at the door of the tent of meeting; and there eat it and the bread that is in the basket of consecration, as I commanded, saying: Aaron and his sons shall eat it.

Lv8:31  And Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh in the tent of the tabernacle of witness in the holy place; and there ye shall eat it and the loaves in the basket of consecration, as it has been appointed me, the Lord saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat them.

31  And when he had sanctified them with their vestments, he instructed them, saying: “Cook the flesh before the entrance of the tabernacle, and eat it there. Likewise, eat the loaves of consecration, which have been placed in the basket, just as the Lord instructed me, saying: ‘Aaron and his sons shall eat them.’

32  And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.

32  Then whatever will remain of the flesh and the loaves shall be consumed with fire.

33  And ye shall not go out from the door of the tent of meeting seven days, until the days of your consecration be fulfilled; for He shall consecrate you seven days.

33  Also, you shall not exit from the door of the tabernacle for seven days, until the day on which the time of your consecration shall be completed. For in seven days the consecration is finished,

33  And you shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation for seven days, until the days of your consecration are at an end; for your consecration will be completed in seven days.

34  As hath been done this day, so YHWH hath commanded to do, to make atonement for you.

Lv8:34  as he did in this day on which the Lord commanded me to do so, to make an atonement for you.

34  even as it has begun at this present time, so that the rite of the sacrifice might be accomplished.

35  And at the door of the tent of meeting shall ye abide day and night seven days, and keep the charge of YHWH, that ye die not; for so I am commanded.

Lv8:36  And Aaron and his sons performed all these commands which the Lord commanded Moses.

9:1  And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

Then, the eighth day having arrived, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and those greater by birth from Israel, and he said to Aaron

9:2  and he said unto Aaron: 'Take thee a bull-calf for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without blemish, and offer them before YHWH.

Lv9:2  and Moses said to Aaron, Take to thyself a young calf of the herd for a sin-offering, and a ram for a whole-burnt-offering, unblemished, and offer them before the Lord.

“Take a calf for sin from the herd, and a ram as a holocaust, both immaculate, and offer them in the sight of the Lord.

9:3  And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying: Take ye a he-goat for a sin-offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt-offering;

Lv9:3  And speak to the elders of Israel, saying, Take one kid of the goats for a sin-offering, and a young calf, and a lamb of a year old for a whole-burnt-offering, spotless,

And to the sons of Israel, you shall say: ‘Take a he-goat for sin, and a calf as well as a lamb, both one-year-old and without blemish, as a holocaust.

9:4  and an ox and a ram for peace-offerings, to sacrifice before YHWH; and a meal-offering mingled with oil; for to-day the YHWH appeareth unto you.'

Take also an ox and a ram for peace offerings. And immolate them before the Lord, offering with the sacrifice of each one fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil. For today the Lord will appear to you.’ ”

9:5  And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tent of meeting; and all the congregation drew near and stood before YHWH.

Lv9:5  And they took as Moses commanded them before the tabernacle of witness, and all the congregation drew nigh, and they stood before the Lord.

And so they brought everything that Moses had ordered before the door of the tabernacle, where, when all the multitude stood together,

9:6  And Moses said: 'This is the thing which YHWH commanded that ye should do; that the glory of the YHWH may appear unto you.'

Moses said: “This is the word, which the Lord has instructed. Accomplish it, and his glory will appear to you.”

And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.

9:7  And Moses said unto Aaron: 'Draw near unto the altar, and offer thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for the people; and present the offering of the people, and make atonement for them; as YHWH commanded.'

Lv9:7  And Moses said to Aaron, Draw nigh to the altar, and offer thy sin-offering, and thy whole-burnt-offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for thy house; and offer the gifts of the people, and make atonement for them, as the Lord commanded Moses.

And he said to Aaron: “Approach toward the altar, and immolate on behalf of your sin. Offer the holocaust, and pray for yourself and for the people. And when you have slain the victim for the people, pray for them, just as the Lord has instructed.”

9:8  So Aaron drew near unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin-offering, which was for himself.

Lv9:8  And Aaron drew nigh to the altar, and slew the calf of his sin-offering.

And immediately Aaron, approaching toward the altar, immolated the calf for his sin.

9:9  And the sons of Aaron presented the blood unto him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar.

And his sons brought its blood to him, and dipping his finger in it, he touched the horns of the altar, and he poured out the remainder at its base.

9:10  But the fat, and the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver of the sin-offering, he made smoke upon the altar; as YHWH commanded Moses.

Lv9:10  And he offered up on the altar the fat and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver of the sin-offering, according as the Lord commanded Moses.

10  And the fat, and the little kidneys, and the mesh of the liver, which are for sin, he burned upon the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.

9:11  And the flesh and the skin were burnt with fire without the camp.

11  Yet truly, the flesh and its skins he burned with fire beyond the camp.

9:12  And he slew the burnt-offering; and Aaron's sons delivered unto him the blood, and he dashed it against the altar round about.

Lv9:12  And he slew the whole-burnt-offering; and the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him, and he poured it on the altar round about.

12  He also immolated the victim of holocaust. And his sons brought its blood to him, which he poured out all around the altar.

9:13  And they delivered the burnt-offering unto him, piece by piece, and the head; and he made them smoke upon the altar.

Lv9:13  And they brought the whole-burnt-offering, according to its pieces; them and the head he put upon the altar.

13  And when the victim itself was cut into pieces, they brought him the head and each of the limbs, all of which he burned with fire upon the altar,

9:14  And he washed the inwards and the legs, and made them smoke upon the burnt-offering on the altar.

Lv9:14  And he washed the belly and the feet with water, and he put them on the whole-burnt-offering on the altar.

14  having first washed the intestines and the feet with water.

9:15  And the people's offering was presented; and he took the goat of the sin-offering which was for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

Lv9:15  And he brought the gift of the people, and took the goat of the sin-offering of the people, and slew it, and purified it as also the first.

15  And making an offering for the sin of the people, he slew the he-goat. And expiating the altar,

9:16  And the burnt-offering was presented; and he offered it according to the ordinance.

Lv9:16  And he brought the whole-burnt-offering, and offered it in due form.

16  he accomplished the holocaust,

9:17  And the meal-offering was presented; and he filled his hand therefrom, and made it smoke upon the altar, besides the burnt- offering of the morning.

Lv9:17  And he brought the sacrifice and filled his hands with it, and laid it on the altar, besides the morning whole-burnt-offering.

9:18  He slew also the ox and the ram, the sacrifice of peace-offerings, which was for the people; and Aaron's sons delivered unto him the blood, and he dashed it against the altar round about,

Lv9:18  And he slew the calf, and the ram of the sacrifice of peace-offering of the people; and the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him, and he poured it out on the altar round about.

18  He also immolated the ox, as well as the ram, as peace offerings for the people. And his sons brought him the blood, which he poured out upon the altar all around.

9:19  and the fat of the ox, and of the ram, the fat tail, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver.

Lv9:19  And he took the fat of the calf, and the hind quarters of the ram, and the fat covering the belly, and the two kidneys, and the fat upon them, and the caul on the liver.

19  Then the fat of the ox, and the rump of the ram, and the two little kidneys with their fat, and the mesh of the liver,

9:20  And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he made the fat smoke upon the altar.

Lv9:20  And he put the fat on the breasts, and offered the fat on the altar.

20  they placed upon the breasts. And when the fat had been burned upon the altar,

9:21  And the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved for a wave-offering before YHWH; as Moses commanded.

Lv9:21  And Aaron separated the breast and the right shoulder as a choice-offering before the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.

21  Aaron separated their breasts and the right shoulders, lifting them up in the sight of the Lord, as Moses had instructed.

9:22  And Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people, and blessed them; and he came down from offering the sin-offering, and the burnt-offering, and the peace-offerings.

22  And extending his hands to the people, he blessed them. And so, the victims for sin, and the holocausts, and the peace offerings being completed, he descended.

9:23  And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and came out, and blessed the people; and the glory of YHWH appeared unto all the people.

23  Then Moses and Aaron entered the tabernacle of the testimony, and afterwards came out and blessed the people. And the glory of the Lord appeared to the entire multitude.

9:24  And there came forth fire from before YHWH, and consumed upon the altar the burnt-offering and the fat; and when all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

Lv9:24  And fire came forth from the Lord, and devoured the offerings on the altar, both the whole-burnt-offerings and the fat; and all the people saw, and were amazed, and fell upon their faces.

24  And, behold, a fire from the Lord devoured the holocaust, and the fat which was on the altar. When the crowd had seen this, they praised the Lord, falling on their faces.

10:1  And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took each of them his censer, and put fire therein, and laid incense thereon, and offered strange fire before YHWH, which He had not commanded them.

Lv10:1  And the two sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abiud, took each his censer, and put fire therein, and threw incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which the Lord did not command them,

And the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, picking up their censers, placed fire in them and incense upon them, offering in the sight of the Lord a strange fire, such as was not instructed of them.

10:2  And there came forth fire from before YHWH, and devoured them, and they died before the YHWH.

Lv10:2  and fire came forth from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

And fire coming out from the Lord destroyed them, and they died in the sight of the Lord.

10:3  Then Moses said unto Aaron: 'This is it that YHWH spoke, saying: Through them that are nigh unto Me I will be sanctified, and before all the people I will be glorified.' And Aaron held his peace.

Lv10:3  And Moses said to Aaron, This is the thing which the Lord spoke, saying, I will be sanctified among them that draw night to me, and I will be glorified in the whole congregation; and Aaron was pricked in his heart.

And Moses said to Aaron: “This is what the Lord has spoken: ‘I will be sanctified in those who approach me, and I will be glorified in the sight of all the people.’ ” And upon hearing this, Aaron was silent.

10:4  And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them: 'Draw near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.'

Lv10:4  And Moses called Misadae, and Elisaphan, sons of Oziel, sons of the brother of Aaron’s father, and said to them, Draw near and take your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.

Then Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel, the paternal uncle of Aaron, and he said to them, “Go and take your brothers from the sight of the Sanctuary, and carry them beyond the camp.”

10:5  So they drew near, and carried them in their tunics out of the camp, as Moses had said.

Lv10:5  And they came near and took them in their coats out of the camp, as Moses said.

And moving quickly, they took them as they lay, vested with linen tunics, and cast them outside, just as had been commanded them.

10:6  And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons: 'Let not the hair of your heads go loose, neither tend your clothes, that ye die not, and that He be not wroth with all the congregation; but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which YHWH hath kindled.

10:7  And ye shall not go out from the door of the tent of meeting, lest ye die; for the anointing oil of YHWH is upon you.' And they did according to the word of Moses.

But you shall not depart from the door of the tabernacle; otherwise, you shall perish. For certainly the oil of holy anointing is upon you.” And they did all things according to the precept of Moses.

And you shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest you die; for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.

10:8  And YHWH spoke unto Aaron, saying

10:9  'Drink no wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tent of meeting, that ye die not; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.

10:18  Behold, the blood of it was not brought into the sanctuary within; ye should certainly have eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded.'

19  Aaron responded: “This day, the victim for sin has been offered, and the holocaust in the sight of the Lord. But you see what has happened to me. How could I eat it, or please the Lord in the ceremonies, having a sorrowful mind?”

11:3  Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is wholly cloven-footed, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that may ye eat.

Lv11:3  Every beast parting the hoof and making divisions of two claws, and chewing the cud among beasts, these ye shall eat.

All that has a divided hoof, and that chews over again, among the cattle, you shall eat.

32  And anything upon which something from their carcasses will have fallen shall be defiled, whether it is a vessel of wood, or a garment, or skins, or haircloths, or anything by which work is done. These shall be dipped in water and shall be defiled until evening, but then afterwards these shall be clean.

35  And if anything from among these kinds of dead things has fallen upon it, it shall be unclean, whether it be an oven, or a pot with feet, these shall be unclean and shall be destroyed.

11:36  Nevertheless a fountain or a cistern wherein is a gathering of water shall be clean; but he who toucheth their carcass shall be unclean.

Lv11:36  Only if the water be of fountains of water, or a pool, or confluence of water, it shall be clean; but he that touches their carcases shall be unclean.

36  Yet truly, fountains and cisterns, and all reservoirs of water shall be clean. Whoever will have touched their carcasses shall be defiled.

11:37  And if aught of their carcass fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.

Lv11:37  And if one of their carcases should fall upon any sowing seed which shall be sown, it shall be clean.

37  If it falls upon seed grain, it shall not defile it.

Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: A woman, if she has received the seed to bear a male, shall be unclean for seven days, just as in the days of separation due to menstruation.

Lv12:5  But if she should have born a female child, then she shall be unclean twice seven days, according to the time of her monthly courses; and for sixty-six days shall she remain in her unclean blood.

But if she will bear a female, she shall be unclean for two weeks, according to the custom of her monthly flow, and she shall remain in the blood of her purification for sixty-six days.

12:6  And when the days of her purification are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove, for a sin-offering, unto the door of the tent of meeting, unto the priest.

12:7  And he shall offer it before YHWH, and make atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. This is the law for her that beareth, whether a male or a female.

12:8  And if her means suffice not for a lamb, then she shall take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons: the one for a burnt-offering, and the other for a sin-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.

And if her hand has not obtained or been able to offer a lamb, she shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons: one as a holocaust, and the other for sin. And the priest shall pray for her, and so she shall be cleansed.

13:2  When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it become in the skin of his flesh the plague of leprosy, then he shall be brought unto Aaron the priest, or unto one of his sons the priests.

The man in whose skin or flesh there will have arisen a diverse color, or a pustule, or something that seems to shine, which is the mark of leprosy, shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or to anyone you wish among his sons.

13:3  And the priest shall look upon the plague in the skin of the flesh; and if the hair in the plague be turned white, and the appearance of the plague be deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is the plague of leprosy; and the priest shall look on him, and pronounce him unclean.

And if he sees that leprosy is in his skin, and that the hair has turned a white color, and that the place where the leprosy appears is lower than the rest of the skin and the flesh, then it is the mark of leprosy, and at his judgment he shall be separated.

13:4  And if the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and the appearance thereof be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white, then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague seven days.

But if there will be a shining whiteness in the skin, but it is not lower than the rest of the flesh, and the hair is of unaffected color, the priest shall seclude him for seven days.

13:5  And the priest shall look on him the seventh day; and, behold, if the plague stay in its appearance, and the plague be not spread in the skin, then the priest shall shut him up seven days more.

And on the seventh day he shall examine him, and if the leprosy certainly has not increased further, and has not spread itself in the skin, he shall seclude him again, for another seven days.

13:6  And the priest shall look on him again the seventh day; and, behold, if the plague be dim, and the plague be not spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean: it is a scab; and he shall wash his clothes, and be clean.

27  and on the seventh day he shall evaluate him. If the leprosy will have increased further in the skin, he shall declare him contaminated.

13:28  And if the bright spot stay in its place, and be not spread in the skin, but be dim, it is the rising of the burning, and the priest shall pronounce him clean; for it is the scar of the burning.

28  But if the whiteness stays in its place and is not very clear, it is the mark of a burn, and for this reason he shall be declared clean, because it is only the scar from a burn.

But the other living one, with the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, he shall dip in the blood of the immolated sparrow.

14  And taking some of the blood of the victim, which was immolated for transgression, the priest shall place it upon the tip of the right ear of him who is being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and likewise the foot.

14:15  And the priest shall take of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.

15  And he shall send some of the twelfth hin of oil into his own left hand,

14:18  And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed; and the priest shall make atonement for him before YHWH.

Lv14:18  And the remaining oil that is on the hand of the priest, the priest shall put on the head of the cleansed leper, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

14:19  And the priest shall offer the sin-offering, and make atonement for him that is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt-offering.

Lv14:19  And the priest shall sacrifice the sin-offering, and the priest shall make atonement for the person under purification to cleanse him from his sin, and afterwards the priest shall slay the whole-burnt-offering.

19  And he shall pray for him in the sight of the Lord, and he shall accomplish the sacrifice on behalf of sin. Then he shall immolate the holocaust,

14:28  And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the guilt-offering.

28  And he shall touch the tip of the right ear of him who is being cleansed, and the thumb of his right hand, as well as the foot, in the place of the blood which was shed for transgression.

39  And returning on the seventh day, he shall examine it. If he finds that the leprosy has spread,

14:40  then the priest shall command that they take out the stones in which the plague is, and cast them into an unclean place without the city.

40  he shall order the stones in which the leprosy is, to be dug out and cast outside the city in an unclean place,

14:44  then the priest shall come in and look; and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a malignant leprosy in the house: it is unclean.

44  the priest, upon entering, will have seen that the leprosy has returned, and that the walls are sprinkled with spots, then it is a persistent leprosy and the house is unclean.

14:53  But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open field; so shall he make atonement for the house; and it shall be clean.

53  And when he has released the sparrow to fly freely away into the field, he shall pray for the house, and it shall be justly cleansed.

He shall be vested with a linen tunic. He shall conceal his nakedness with linen undergarments. He shall be wrapped with a linen belt, and he shall impose a linen headdress on his head. For these are holy vestments. All of these he shall put on, after he has been washed.

16:9  And Aaron shall present the goat upon which the lot fell for YHWH, and offer him for a sin-offering.

The one whose lot fell out to be offered to the Lord, he shall offer for sin.

Lv16:10  and the goat upon which the lot of the scape-goat came, he shall present alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon him, so as to send him away as a scape-goat, and he shall send him into the wilderness.

10  But the one who is to be the emissary goat shall stand before the Lord, so that he may pour the prayers upon him, and may send him away into the wilderness.

16:11  And Aaron shall present the bullock of the sin-offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin-offering which is for himself.

Lv16:11  And Aaron shall bring the calf for his sin, and he shall make atonement for himself and for his house, and he shall kill the calf for his sin-offering.

11  After these things have been duly celebrated, he shall offer the calf, and praying for himself and for his own house, he shall immolate it.

16:12  And he shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before YHWH, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil.

Lv16:12  And he shall take his censer full of coals of fire off the altar, which is before the Lord; and he shall fill his hands with fine compound incense, and shall bring it within the veil.

12  And taking up the censer, which he has filled from the burning coals of the altar, and drawing up with his hands the aromatic compound for incense, he shall enter within the veil, into the holy place,

16:13  And he shall put the incense upon the fire before YHWH, that the cloud of the incense may cover the ark-cover that is upon the testimony, that he die not.

13  so that when the aromatics are placed upon the fire, its cloud and vapor may cover the oracle, which is above the testimony, and he may not die.

16:14  And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the ark-cover on the east; and before the ark- cover shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

14  Likewise, he shall take some of the blood of the calf, and sprinkle it with his finger seven times opposite the propitiatory, toward the east.

16:15  Then shall he kill the goat of the sin-offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the ark-cover, and before the ark-cover.

Lv16:15  and he shall kill the goat for the sin-offering that is for the people, before the Lord; and he shall bring in of its blood within the veil, and shall do with its blood as he did with the blood of the calf, and shall sprinkle its blood on the mercy-seat, in front of the mercy-seat.

15  And when he has slain the he-goat for the sin of the people, he shall carry its blood within the veil, just as he was instructed to do with the blood of the calf, so that he may sprinkle it away from the area of the oracle,

16:16  And he shall make atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleannesses of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, even all their sins; and so shall he do for the tent of meeting, that dwelleth with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.

16  and so that he may expiate the Sanctuary from the uncleanness of the sons of Israel, and from their prevarications and every one of their sins. According to this rite, he shall act toward the tabernacle of the testimony, which is fixed among them in the midst of the filth of their habitation.

16:17  And there shall be no man in the tent of meeting when he goeth in to make atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.

17  Let no man be in the tabernacle when the high priest enters the Sanctuary in order to pray for himself, and for his house, and for the entire assembly of Israel, until he exits.

16:18  And he shall go out unto the altar that is before YHWH, and make atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about.

Lv16:18  And he shall come forth to the altar that is before the Lord, and he shall make atonement upon it; and he shall take of the blood of the calf, and of the blood of the goat, and shall put it on the horns of the altar round about.

18  And when he has exited to the altar which is before the Lord, let him pray for himself, and taking the blood of the calf, and of the he-goat, let him pour it upon its horns all around.

16:19  And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleannesses of the children of Israel.

16:20  And when he hath made an end of atoning for the holy place, and the tent of meeting, and the altar, he shall present the live goat.

Lv16:20  And he shall finish making atonement for the sanctuary and for the tabernacle of witness, and for the altar; and he shall make a cleansing for the priests, and he shall bring the living goat;

20  After he has cleansed the Sanctuary, and the tabernacle, and the altar, then let him offer the living goat.

16:21  And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of an appointed man into the wilderness.

21  And placing both hands upon its head, let him confess all the iniquities of the sons of Israel, and all of their offenses and sins. And calling these down upon its head, he shall send it away, by means of a man prepared to do so, into the desert.

16:22  And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land which is cut off; and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.

16:23  And Aaron shall come into the tent of meeting, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there.

23  Aaron shall return into the tabernacle of the testimony. And placing aside the vestments, which he had worn before when he entered into the Sanctuary, and leaving them there,

16:24  And he shall bathe his flesh in water in a holy place and put on his other vestments, and come forth, and offer his burnt- offering and the burnt-offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people.

Lv16:24  And he shall bathe his body in water in the holy place, and shall put on his raiment, and shall go out and offer the whole-burnt-offering for himself and the whole-burnt-offering for the people: and shall make atonement for himself and for his house, and for the people, as for the priests.

24  he shall wash his flesh in the holy place, and he shall be clothed in his own garments. And departing afterwards, he shall present his own holocaust and that of the people: he shall pray as much for himself as for the people.

26  Yet truly, he who has sent away the emissary goat shall wash his clothes and his body with water, and so he shall enter into the camp.

16:27  And the bullock of the sin-offering, and the goat of the sin-offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall be carried forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.

27  But the calf and the he-goat, which were immolated for sin, and whose blood was brought into the Sanctuary to complete the expiation, these shall be carried outside the camp and be burned with fire: as with their skins, so also with their flesh and dung.

16:28  And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.

28  And whoever will have burned them shall wash his clothes and flesh with water, and so he shall enter into the camp.

16:29  And it shall be a statute for ever unto you: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and shall do no manner of work, the home-born, or the stranger that sojourneth among you.

16:30  For on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins shall ye be clean before YHWH.

Lv16:30  For in this day he shall make an atonement for you, to cleanse you from all your sins before the Lord, and ye shall be purged.

30  On this day, there shall be atonement for you, and also a cleansing from all your sins. You shall be cleansed in the sight of the Lord.

16:31  It is a sabbath of solemn rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls; it is a statute for ever.

Lv16:31  This shall be to you a most holy sabbath, a rest, and ye shall humble your souls; it is a perpetual ordinance.

31  For it is a Sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls as a perpetual observance.

16:32  And the priest, who shall be anointed and who shall be consecrated to be priest in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.

17:4  and hath not brought it unto the door of the tent of meeting, to present it as an offering unto YHWH before the tabernacle of the YHWH, blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people.

Lv17:4  and shall not bring it to the door of the tabernacle of witness, so as to sacrifice it for a whole-burnt-offering or peace-offering to the Lord to be acceptable for a sweet-smelling savour: and whosoever shall slay it without, and shall not bring it to the door of the tabernacle of witness, so as to offer it as a gift to the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord; blood shall be imputed to that man, he has shed blood; that soul shall be cut off from his people.

and not have presented it as an oblation to the Lord at the door of the tabernacle, he shall be guilty of blood. It is just as if he had shed blood; so then, he shall perish from the midst of his people.

17:5  To the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, even that they may bring them unto YHWH, unto the door of the tent of meeting, unto the priest, and sacrifice them for sacrifices of peace-offerings unto the YHWH.

Lv17:5  That the children of Israel may offer their sacrifices, all that they shall slay in the fields, and bring them to the Lord unto the doors of the tabernacle of witness to the priest, and they shall sacrifice them as a peace-offering to the Lord.

Therefore, the sons of Israel must offer to the priest their victims, which they kill in the field, so that they may be sanctified to the Lord before the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and so that they may immolate them as peace offerings to the Lord.

17:6  And the priest shall dash the blood against the altar of YHWH at the door of the tent of meeting, and make the fat smoke for a sweet savour unto the YHWH.

Lv17:6  And the priest shall pour the blood on the altar round about before the Lord by the doors of the tabernacle of witness, and shall offer the fat for a sweet-smelling savour to the Lord.

17:7  And they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices unto the satyrs, after whom they go astray. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.

17:15  And every soul that eateth that which dieth of itself, or that which is torn of beasts, whether he be home-born or a stranger, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even; then shall he be clean.

15  The soul who eats what has died on its own, or what has been caught by a beast, whether he is native born or a newcomer, shall wash his clothes and himself with water, and he shall be contaminated until evening. And by this means he shall be made clean.
