1 YHWH answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;

1 The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee.
title Unto the end. A Psalm of David.
1 May the Lord hear you in the day of tribulation. May the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2 Send forth thy help from the sanctuary, and support thee out of Zion;
2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and aid thee out of Sion.
Ps19:2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and watch over you from Zion.
3 Receive the memorial of all thy meal-offerings, and accept the fat of thy burnt-sacrifice; Selah
3 Remember all thy sacrifice, and enrich thy whole-burnt-offering. Pause.
Ps19:3 May he be mindful of all your sacrifices, and may your burnt-offerings be fat.
4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
Ps19:4 May he grant to you according to your heart, and confirm all your counsels.
4 May the LORD grant you according to your own heart, and fulfil all your counsel.
5 We will shout for joy in thy victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our standards; YHWH fulfil all thy petitions.
5 We will exult in thy salvation, and in the name of our God shall we be magnified: the Lord fulfil all thy petitions.
Ps19:5 We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God, we will be magnified.
6 Now know I that YHWH saveth His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the mighty acts of His saving right hand.
Ps19:6 May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Now I know that the Lord has saved his Christ. He will hear him from his holy heaven. The salvation of his right hand is in his power.
6 Henceforth it is known that the LORD has saved his anointed; and has heard him from his holy heaven and saved with the strength of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will make mention of the name of YHWH our God.
7 Some glory in chariots, and some in horses: but we will glory in the name of the Lord our God.
8 They are bowed down and fallen; but we are risen, and stand upright.
Ps19:8 They have been bound, and they have fallen. But we have risen up, and we have been set upright.
9 Save, YHWH; let the King answer us in the day that we call.
9 O Lord, save the king: and hear us in whatever day we call upon thee.
21:1 O YHWH, in Thy strength the king rejoiceth; and in Thy salvation how greatly doth he exult!

1 O Lord, the king shall rejoice in thy strength; and in thy salvation he shall greatly exult.
21:2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and the request of his lips Thou hast not withholden. Selah
Ps20:2 You have granted him the desire of his heart, and you have not cheated him of the wish of his lips.
21:3 For Thou meetest him with choicest blessings; Thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head.
3 For thou hast prevented him with blessings of goodness: thou has set upon his head a crown of precious stone.
Ps20:3 For you have gone ahead of him with blessings of sweetness. You have placed a crown of precious stones on his head.
21:4 He asked life of Thee, Thou gavest it him; even length of days for ever and ever.
Ps20:4 He petitioned you for life, and you have granted him length of days, in the present time, and forever and ever.
21:5 His glory is great through Thy salvation; honour and majesty dost Thou lay upon him.
Ps20:5 Great is his glory in your salvation. Glory and great adornment, you will lay upon him.
21:6 For Thou makest him most blessed for ever; Thou makest him glad with joy in Thy presence.
6 For thou wilt give him a blessing for ever and ever: thou wilt gladden him with joy with thy countenance.
Ps20:6 For you will give him as a blessing forever and ever. You will make him rejoice with gladness in your presence.
21:7 For the king trusteth in YHWH, yea, in the mercy of the Most High; he shall not be moved.
Ps20:7 Because the king hopes in the Lord, and in the mercy of the Most High, he will not be disturbed.
21:8 Thy hand shall be equal to all thine enemies; thy right hand shall overtake those that hate thee.
Ps20:8 May your hand be found by all your enemies. May your right hand discover all those who hate you.
8 Your hand shall overcome all your enemies; your right hand shall overcome those that hate you.
21:9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger; YHWH shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
Ps20:9 You will make them like an oven of fire, in the time of your presence. The Lord will stir them up with his wrath, and fire will devour them.
9 You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of your wrath; the LORD shall consume them in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
21:10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
Ps20:10 You will destroy their fruit from the earth and their offspring from the sons of men.
21:11 For they intended evil against thee, they imagined a device, wherewith they shall not prevail.
Ps20:11 For they have turned evils upon you; they have devised plans, which they have not been able to accomplish.
11 For they have planned evil against you; they conceived a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
21:12 For thou shalt make them turn their back, thou shalt make ready with thy bowstrings against the face of them.
Ps20:12 For you will make them turn their back; with your remnants, you will prepare their countenance.
12 For you shall place a scar on them; and you shall make ready your array against their faces.
21:13 Be Thou exalted, O YHWH, in Thy strength; so will we sing and praise Thy power.
Ps20:13 Be exalted, Lord, by your own power. We will play music and sing psalms to your virtues.
