1  YHWH reigneth; let the peoples tremble; He is enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake.

1  The Lord reigns; —let the people rage; it is he that sits upon the cherubs, let the earth be moved.

1  THE LORD reigns; let the people tremble; he sits upon the cherubim; let the earth be moved.

2  YHWH is great in Zion; and He is high above all the peoples.

2  The Lord is great in Sion, and is high over all the people.

3  Let them praise Thy name as great and awful; Holy is He.

3  Let them give thanks to thy great name; for it is terrible and holy.

3  May they confess to your great name, for it is terrible and holy.

4  The strength also of the king who loveth justice--Thou hast established equity, Thou hast executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.

4  And the king’s honour loves judgement; thou hast prepared equity, thou hast wrought judgement and justice in Jacob.

4  And the honor of the king loves judgment. You have prepared guidance. You have accomplished judgment and justice in Jacob.

5  Exalt ye YHWH our God, and prostrate yourselves at His footstool; Holy is He.

5  Exalt the Lord our God, and adore the footstool of his feet, for it is holy.

6  Moses and Aaron among His priests, and Samuel among them that call upon His name, did call upon YHWH, and He answered them.

7  He spoke unto them in the pillar of cloud; they kept His testimonies, and the statute that He gave them.

8  O YHWH our God, Thou didst answer them; a forgiving God wast Thou unto them, though Thou tookest vengeance of their misdeeds.

8  You heeded them, O Lord our God. You were a forgiving God to them, though taking vengeance on all their inventions.

8  Thou didst answer them, O LORD our God; thou wast an avenger for them. O God, reward them according to their works.

9  Exalt ye YHWH our God, and worship at His holy hill; for the YHWH our God is holy.
