O God, keep not Thou silence; hold not Thy peace, and be not still, O God.

title  A Song of a Psalm for Asaph.

O God, who shall be compared to thee? be not silent, neither be still, O God.

title  A Canticle Psalm of Asaph.

O God, who will ever be like you? Do not be silent, and do not be unmoved, O God.

For, lo, Thine enemies are in an uproar; and they that hate Thee have lifted up the head.

For behold, thine enemies have made a noise; and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

Ps82:2  For behold, your enemies have sounded off, and those who hate you have carried out a head.

They hold crafty converse against Thy people, and take counsel against Thy treasured ones.

Against thy people they have craftily imagined a device, and have taken counsel against thy saints.

Ps82:3  They have acted with malice in counsel over your people, and they have plotted against your holy ones.

Do Thou unto them as unto Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook Kishon;

Ps82:9  Do to them as you did to Midian and Sisera, just as to Jabin at the torrent of Kishon.

Do to them as to the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the valley of Kishon;

10  Who were destroyed at En-dor; they became as dung for the earth.

Ps82:10  They perished at Endor, and they became like the dung of the earth.

10  Which perished at Endor; they became as manure for the earth.

13  O my God, make them like the whirling dust; as stubble before the wind.

Ps82:13  My God, set them like a wheel, and like stubble before the face of the wind.

13  O God, make them like a turning wheel; and like stubble before the wind.

14  As the fire that burneth the forest, and as the flame that setteth the mountains ablaze;

14  As fire which shall burn up a wood, as the flame may consume the mountains;

Ps82:14  Set them like a fire burning up the forest, and like a flame burning up the mountains.

15  So pursue them with Thy tempest, and affright them with Thy storm.

15  so shalt thou persecute them with thy tempest, and trouble them in thine anger.

Ps82:15  So will you pursue them in your tempest, and disturb them in your wrath.
